How do I make CC (Crystaline Conflict) enjoyable for myself?

I love the hell pup minions from pvp and had them following me around quite often before as being my favourites, some old mounts are awesome too. In the end I still adore my wolf mount from arr and often have hawk minion out cause I started as summoner and Hawkers Alley was once my parking spot. These things mean someting nice to me, there are good memories attached to getting those items. So here you are considering grinding content that will likely leave you with bad memories which will remain attached to the rewards you get. Is it worth it? I'd say not but that's a perspective of a casual player. The new rewards from cc are the definition of not all that shines is gold...or crystal. Ranked cc is toxic, even casual is! Right now I just can't deal with being mocked and humiliated by people who are as often in my team as in the enemy one. You were talking about morale and yes it hurts when it gets destroyed but again in my experience it's teammates that kill it not defeats themselves. You have no idea of the level of intimidation you can get just cause people don't like your job, your name or think you are beneath them on skill level! You would think that it's in team's interest to support you rather than put you down but nah, they will put a marker on you to make sure you know how much they don't want you there. Even though I get some random commendations I feel unwelcome at the beginning of every match. That's my heartfelt reality. I'm done with this ranked bs! I mean ranked cc...

CC is pure trash. there obvious cheating and win throwing involved when it comes to rank. half the time people don't play. SE does't do anything because they simply don't care.

Ranked CC generally isn't fun because of all the cheeto dust floating around in the air. One look at the attitudes of Ranked players on these forums is enough to turn anyone away from even considering it. Toxic, and condescending attitudes mixed with newer players never ends well, not to mention the harassment they dish out to people after matches, not exclusive to ranked obviously but more often than not thats where its going to happen.

I'm not fond of top rankers as well, but tbh on Light not all of them are shitters. Everybody gets a BM mark from time to time, and while it doesn't mean that it's okay or great, I tend to see this as a way to put things into perspective because ultimately when this happens, it's because some baby couldn't keep their salt in check. Fact of the matter is, while skill levels may of course differ (I will never deny that the top 10-15 are incredibly skilled players), everybody does stupid mistakes. They're just usually too blind to see their own. I'm sure you have also seen some of the best melees suddenly suiciding into the enemy team and griefing the whole opener because they thought they could pull it off.

Well I realize that ultimately my reply doesn't really address the problem, and I do agree that kind of atmosphere is pretty repelling in a way. And then you end up with the same players complaining the queues are dead once all the people they harassed has decided to go do something else instead.

I'm not sure if you were talking about yourself or in general, but for a casual you're still playing in diamond, so I wouldn't downplay your own skill that much. Also this patch has been extra rough for bards.

I think the answer to this is not "How do I make CC enjoyable" and more "How do I make CC less frustrating." The secret is to care as little as the PVP team does about it. It's really sad too because over the years of playing this, lots of people I talked to didn't want to play because they didn't know what to do or were afraid that everyone was going to yell at them. It feels like 6 years later, I hear the same thing when trying to get new friends to join PVP.

hmm i have a friend who sorta had the same problem aside from the time exclusive rewards and they fixed it by integrating an RP element into their pvp, i cant really convey it properly but the gist is they chose a class made a back story and centered it around pvp
the example i was given was a viking WAR spending their days in Valhalla, not saying itll help but if youre really trying to make pvp enjoyable for yourself then you should take a sec to see wut you value more the rewards or the experience, from wut i gather and i could be wrong its seems you lean more towards the rewards which in itself isnt bad it just creates an extra pressure on yourself, and lastly regarding your question if anyone else feels the same way, to extent i sorta have that feeling there are times where i do hate this game as well as it feels like im being punished(specifically by the servers) but in all honesty that feeling washes away after a win(especially when its against a toxic player) but best of luck ad if youre looking to improve i recommend joining one of the many pvp discords
