As long as they don't use that horrific pay to win system, it should be fine.
By the way, this ain't a troll thread. He's genuine in his complaints and concerns.

I really don't see how you could read the OP and come to any other conclusion than "troll thread."
He gives no reason for his opinion, he basically just declares "Diablo 3 sux , yoshi likes it we're doomed end of story k thx bai."
How can you call that a genuine complaint or concern?

Because I used to be the same way.I really don't see how you could read the OP and come to any other conclusion than "troll thread."
He gives no reason for his opinion, he basically just declares "Diablo 3 sux , yoshi likes it we're doomed end of story k thx bai."
How can you call that a genuine complaint or concern?
He just doesn't know how to properly evoke his actual fears, which I honestly feel are ill placed.
Now, even if he is trolling, what do you think the proper reaction is? Play his game? act mad and declare him a troll without addressing his view, or drop personal attachment and take the issue head on and move away, no questioning of character involved?

Do you have a source for that? Ever since "relic weapons" were first mentioned (although they weren't called that) it was stressed that they would be extremely powerful and difficult to obtain.

D3 is a fun time if you've got friends. It's story is laughable and it's graphics are only bearable if you download the Dark D3 shader plugin.
But with friends it's fun.

I love when people declare games as terrible, just because they don't like it themselves, even though when looking at it in the grand scope of things it's not all that bad.
Like when people talk about Dragon Age 2 as if it has been literally the worst and most broken game of the decade, when really, even though it wasn't as good as the first, it's not THAT bad.
To talk about D3 like OP is, it's just silly.
It's people like this who ruin everything ;v

>_>;
People (Including Yoshi-P) have the right to like or dislike things regardless of any affiliations etc. they have with other things in their lives.
He is excited to try Diablo III; What's wrong with that? We are talking about someone who has come out and blatantly said that the code for XIV is horrible and causing a ton of limitations.
Him liking a game not made by the company he works for, and being open with the community of this game (which is equally as excited for Diablo for the most part), really isn't a crime. Much less an indication on the direction XIV is going to go.
People who create games are inspired by other games every day, MMO's suffer from uninspired copying for sure, but what exactly in Diablo could XIV benefit from? Diablo is not an MMO, do not mistake games with online functionality for MMOs.
Diablo's systems work for it as a game; none of these systems could work for XIV (an MMO).
Whatever though,
Not like it's a surprise common sense is lacking around these parts.

What do you care if Yoshi like Diablo 3 or not zzzzzzz
Ultimately Diablo 3 is a pretty big disappointment to me. Diablo 1 was one of the first rpgs I ever played but D3 just makes too many compromises and departs from the original source material in too many ways, be in art style, storytelling, achievements, narrations, quest system, etc. Never has a game made me feel so awkward. Sometimes I'd feel like I enjoy it, and other times I would hate it. Now I'm just like meh, buyer's remorse.
FFXIV though was a non-functional-no-content-having-turd at launch. While it was still possible to derive fun from D3, FFXIV at launch seemed like it was trying to do whatever possible to keep me from having fun.

Suddenly... out of nowhere... an irrelevant thread.
