I ended up getting me Charley's today. Since I made the post on page 1 I couldn't stop thinking about it.

Got the Bacon 3 Cheesesteak.

XI is like.. Opening your own fridge. Feels like home. You went to Costco last week, so there's probably some great meals in there but you know they're gonna take time and effort. You gotta dig in the freezer for a bit to find your frozen meats, then you get excited because you found a hot pocket and some eggos you thought you lost. But you also got some weird purple shit in the back you're afraid to touch, and it smells a little weird so you keep having to replace the baking soda.

10/10, would dig in my own fridge again.




XIV players are so strangely afraid of the idea of FOMO, they turn a blind eye and act like XIV doesn't have a crazy amount of it. It's so weird. I feel like they have Bitcoin FOMO PTSD or something. lol

I haaaaaaaaaaate FOMO, especially as someone who is very aesthetically driven when I play games, but FFXIV doesn't really have a crazy amount of it - unless we are referring to how they release content with a shelf life. Such as Eureka and Bozja. I guess events too(?), if you don't want to miss the throwaway stories, and items (without paying a year later). I don't really know if it can be referred to as necessarily predatory FOMO, however.

Yeah if I cared to interact with the author I'd just go to reddit where they posted it, which wasn't here. Lazy copying and pasting of others' viewpoints doesn't really warrant my effort.

Warrants enough effort to comment multiple times apparently. The people who claim to hate this guy so much are often the ones who interact the most with him.

If you can't stand him so bad, why are you consistently interacting with his posts?

Eureka at least is still alive. I hit 60 last night and my instance had upwards of 30-40 people in it on Aether. Can still get it done solo either way though outside of BA but there's like 5 different discords that host runs of it.
