PvP Bar Did Not Lower

I kept seeing comments today in FL that 'they nerfed PvP so much, anyone can play, the bar is too low'.

The low bar was that anyone that could hit a button could load a tank, run in, spin like a dervish, stay up for 1.5 minutes, and think they were doing well or were a good tank. Saw people complaining today they can't do that anymore and somehow that's... bad?

If you really, really want to kill in high streaks now, you're going to have to get good, and probably go in with friends. You need to be backed up by people that are willing to do their jobs as well, and that overall would lead to a PvP experience you'd prefer. You likely won't get far with a solo queue and then try to lone ranger those buttons.

Yes, several maps (looking at you, Shatter) aren't PvP, they're PvEnvironment with almost no combat as the most effective strat. But I fail to see the difference between that and people losing match after match because they're so concerned with BH from Ovoo Mid that they let a different team dominate every objective point.

It's still not good PvP. But going from 'bad mode with nothing but blitzkrieg' to 'bad mode with squishier people claiming objectives' didn't change the bar at all.

If you have to do something, it's bad. If the enemy has to do something it's good. It's always getting dumbed down, either for you or for the enemy. If the enemy now has an easier time destroying you, it got dumbed down for them.

Precisely. That's why the bar didn't 'lower'. The overall result was exactly the same.

EDIT: It went from 'load a tank and spin' to 'load an anything and break rocks'. You're doing pretty much the same thing skill-level.
