    Asylum is comically large.

At this point they can just add an off-GCD party HoT and the healbuff without the bubble at all.

But we already have Plenary which is a heal buff. And Temperance which is a heal buff plus party mitigation...

They have to prune this in 7.0, this is pure button bloat, but for the moment it's fine I guess.

    Or in other words:

The bubble lost it's flavor. Now it can go anyway...

It’s a good thing not to answer your enemies. I scarcely ever do. Perhaps Emily is more like me than I am like myself. Perhaps she would rather not answer her friends, even. She keeps it all in her heart.

At first I was skeptical, however with some of the arena designs in 6.4, I can see the viability of doing this. It allows them to utilise comically large hitboxes for bosses and more arena space for more mechanics without making the buff application a limiting factor.

    Overall, ok I guess.

I hope the change was made to accomodate more innovative and interesting mechanics/boss areana in the future. Otherwise, I think it's kind of uneccessary.

    BTW, Black Mage when?

The range changes to buffs and and healing bubbles almost certainly means huge boss hitbox and arena are staying going forward.
    Which is sigh, whatever.

You can make sense to it with the new raids we get but, when you do Unreal for example, it is just... LMFAO.

    EDIT:
I went into Titan for the giggles.

More than likely it's the other way around. Just from the normal mode raids it's clear that there's going to be a lot of light party split across quite large distances.

They probably sketched out some basic designs for this savage tier and decided that in order to make it workable they'd need to extend some ability ranges.

Personally I quite like them tbh. Particularly for abilities where the exact range isn't very visually clear, like a lot of raid buffs.

Personally I always felt party wide buffs should be able to hit every member not matter what so Im fine with them increasing the range for them.

I thought the shield aoes sizes where already fine before but Im not complaining about the increased range of it either.

Im just fine with it personally

It's not exactly going to stop people from standing outside of it and frankly I almost feel like the people who already don't stand in it are going to be standing even further out because they don't realise it's for healing and not the boss dumping an AoE in said circle.
Simple solution, set party effects to minimal.

Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]

Considering the bosses are so large that standing in positions around it put you at the very edge of many skills I am glad they increased the range.
