Some people want to be given things on a silver platter without doing anything.
It's why I usually prefer written guides over guide videos if I bother to read a guide in the first place, a lot of XIV content creators explain mechanics in a way that makes them sound more complicated than they actually are.
I know this is a troll post but...you got a point, it is weird that the Axolotl mount is from this Savage raid

Cute mounts do belong to raiders though, they worked hard to kill that boss while you sat there for 1 hour to get your cute mount. And also, most raiders play the game like 3-4x a week, not 24/7. If they played 24/7 they would die from sleep deprivation
Although I am saddened that I will never have the Axolotl mount due to the fact that Savage is very much more than I can handle with my physical disabilities, I will smile every time I see anyone fly by on one. They are that cute!
I have always maintained that some rewards should be exclusive to people who put in the work to get them. I just fell on the wrong side on this one and no amount of work on my part will make this achievable. It's sad but I accept that is how it is.
I don't really care what the reward is for raiders. I just think this one is out of place, so I am questioning the choice more than anything else. If people want it and enjoy it, that's fine. It's just not something I would have ever associated with the raid series.
Only one dungeon has ever had a mount drop and that was about 6 years so don't hold your breath.
Pretty bold of OP to make a post on the official forums admitting to datamining
