    Duty Support as a healer-

I love Duty support- I love running it when I want to farm something.
I love using it when a new dungeon comes out so I can learn mechanics.

I dislike it as a healer because I hate having to get aggro first, the answer ive found is to try to get close enough and let the tank get aggro, but ill end up eating a hit or 2.

Any chance we will get the button to tell our group to attack? similar to the barracks missions?

Or can we and I am missing something?

Suppose another answer is just run it as a tank or DPS which is fine, and to be clear it is still perfectly playable- just asking the question

I like duty support / trust best on healers because you can do full pulls and not have to worry about the NPC healer letting you die before the tank can grab everything. DoT the first group as you sprint through them, run close enough to the next group to dot one of them, and sprint back to the tank. Then spam AoE attacks. It mostly doesn't matter if things hitting you; just use an oGCD heal on yourself if the tank doesn't pull them off fast enough. Really though the NPC tanks work great when the healer isn't also an NPC.

There's no need to fear taking a couple of hits. The Duty Support tanks are good at getting aggro quickly as long as you don't pull too many of the mobs far from them. You'll take more damage from an unavoidable AoE than you will from pulling.

As Ronway said, if you want to pull multiple groups you do want to get back to the tank as quickly as possible. And of course you don't have to if that is out of your comfort zone.

What I do when I'm playing healer is I stay close to the tank as we approach the mobs, then I'll quickly pull back the moment the tank pulls aggro. I'll also toss a quick aoe heal on the chance that a mob hits me when I'm pulling back, but it doesn't happen often. The DPS are good about grabbing the mobs' attention away from you.
