It was somewhat of a challenge AS IT SHOULD BE. Most exciting part of the patch. Suck it up pls.

I'm not gonna attack you like other here. I will say this is some of those instances where practice will make things feel much better. The normal raids in 6.4 are very hard why am I dodging aoe mechanics right behind aoe mechanics behind yet other aoe mechanics, is the normal raid maybe mislabeled and is really hard or extreme. These raids are too hard imho and good luck if you are a caster. This is of course just my opinion as everyone has different skills , might be able to dodge better if the camera could zoom out a bit more however Square thinks its working as intended to guess where the last aoe will hit if you cant rotate your camera fast enough.
give it a few weeks and it will feel MUCH easier
Is been a while since I've had fun in normal content. Whoever designed the last wing of the raid tier did an amazing job. Every fight was a banger with fun intuitive mechanics, at good pacing. Arena changes and not just simple "1 mechanic at a time" timelines. Every single fight was more fun than every normal/savage version of the previous wings, imo. (including P4S phase2)
Really looking forward to the savage tier.
Not really, they are not hard at all, and it has been so with any 8 man raid ever from HW and forward, first few weeks they seem hard, but you need to think about you head in there on not the maximum ilevel or close to on that tier, also the pointers and more to see what the bosses do is very easy to spot visually. The normal raids in 6.4 are very hard why am I dodging aoe mechanics right behind aoe mechanics behind yet other aoe mechanics, is the normal raid maybe mislabeled and is really hard or extreme. Use your eyes and look at what x boss is casting to be able to dodge it in before hand, it is not too difficult, and that is how it is...
I do this as a monk, which means I have to move all the time for better DPS... if I just needed to stand there I could easely do such as bard or whatever caster as well, and only move when have to move.
Wiping is part of the fun. This was my favorite raid patch from EW so far with some banger music. It's hectic and invigorating to experience. I need more. . . MORE FOR MY BLOOD LILIESSSSS.
I really liked it. We even got debuffs like bleed/doom. As a healer I'm happy. More please.
I thought the normal raid mechanics were within what is acceptable. I used to raid, but haven't since Stormblood. I thought the difficulty was probably where it should be. Casual players shouldn't one-shot it, unless they are the only first-timers in a group of 8.
Anyone who posts some "in the olden days" post is just trolling, there are 12 fights in a series, comparing xpac to xpac some will be up some will be down in difficulty and/or enjoyment. On the whole, across the 12, these raids are approximately the same as Eden and Omega (I guess you could argue that the Omega series was a bit simpler). None of the 3 most recent xpacs have been gigantic departures from one another difficulty-wise.
What a thrill...
I do enjoy the new difficulty of things. The new trial is chaotic fun, as are the raids. Some of course being a bit easier than others, but it doesn't change the fun involved.
