Downloading patches troubles

Im sure this has been discussed before but why is the patcher so slow??? its currently going at 3.1kbs...yes kbs!! Is there a way to patch the game faster...i dont want to have to leave my pc on overnight for something that should download in minutes...

Without any information about your specific network setup it would be guesswork really but to maximize the amount of remote hosts to connect to during the version update you'd probably want to set up a hardwired connection directly to your modem if you haven't done so already. If your modem is a hybrid(i.e. router/modem combo), then you may want to set up a specific port to use during the version updates through the FINAL FANTASY XIV Configuration tool and then forward that port through the modem/router settings.

1.XX SE patcher sucks. not illegal to do this but alot of ppl frown on it, but if i where you i would google this girl that makes some videos i believe her series is called tips and tales but i dont remember for sure and its quite possible of the sixth episode variety if that helps you out................................but than again im just guessing.
