False. Unless FFXIV is abnormality in videogames, all gamers who on regular basis interacts with game outside the actual game are minority, even if you include all discords, reddit and twitter.

If you consume any content outside the game, you're part of minority.

Why do you need to specify "negative Nancys" ? If our opinion is irrelevant, so is yours. I'm once again surprised on how others are surprised that discussion forums are predominantly negative. You don't go here to praise game, but to share your often negative opinions on certain topic. You don't go here to say that you like X or Y.

This is the point of official forums - feedback and constructive criticism. Do you want some positive fluff/fanart and so on? Go to the mainsub. Fancy some shitpost? r/shitpostxiv. Porn? Twitter.

Minority/majority argument will always be pointless, you cannot ever get opinions of majority of the player base.

You know who's minority? Whole JP player base. How about some sub ~5% minority? That's ultimate raiders. Do you want to use minority argument for jobs? Then every job's feedback is pointless since it reflects only ~1/19 of playerbase at best(assuming SE only counts feedback from job's mains, as they should, but unfortunately they don't). These minorities split into more minorities, each with different opinions. Are all of them "just a minority" who's opinions do not matter?

People like you just try to make others feel like their opinions are irrelevant. There is nothing wrong with trying to highlight things you like, but saying that the way others feel about the game is wrong is fundamentally just retarded. If you do that, your contributions to any discussions are negative. What are you even trying to accomplish? Convince others that the game is great? People know that, after all people who criticize the game do love the game. People who don't like the game silently leave. Or maybe you try to convince others to leave the game? Why, is there something wrong with striving for better game? Are we supposed to accept mediocrity?

Also it's not 20 million players by a long shot, latest stats show <1.4mil, but I wouldn't expect real data from someone who says that anyone who doesn't engage on forums is automatically satisfied with the game.
