If you doubleweave Summon>Consolation (and clip your GCD) then you can 'skip' the summoning animation a little bit, and get Consolation out a little sooner (the same is possible with Akh Morn/Bahamut), I imagine the devs don't see that as a 'clunky feeling' because they don't play healers the way we do, and doubleweaving into a clipped GCD is not something they actively try to avoid, or accept as 'well thats how healers are sometimes, because their job is to heal'

This could be semi-solved by just having Seraph execute Consolation upon being summoned (and having the animation reworked to fit that) but then we'd probably have someone complain that it removes skill expression because you can't choose when to use the summon vs the first Consolation charge

Hence, it is better to remove Seraph altogether and just make her pet glamour. Rouse is a better solution.

I mean, since your main pet is not removed from the battlefield, we no longer have to endure the summoning animation that messes up with the queue. Furthermore, the effect of shielding from her auto heals can be baked into Rouse and another ability that used to be Consolation to only be available when the fairy/carbuncle is Rouse-d.

Eos under rouse just casting seraphic veil that you can’t really control should 100% stay, seraph being stronger than haima+panhaima together if you can get the full value out of seraphic veil is one of the only good things about seraph

Which can be moved to Eos as well. Since the game already has this 'press x to get x ready', just give us 2 stacks of Consolation Ready then the ability can be casted.

Oh i just mean specially that when seraphic veil is cast shouldn’t have any control (like a seraphic veil ready for example), from the moment rouse is cast to when it ends eos should be randomly casting it

I see.. My bad.

Even if they change Summon Seraph to behave like Rouse, I'd want SE to use the same button for Fey Blessing and Consolation.

How can they implement a charge based Consolation with a 1 time use Fey Blessing? Unless they nerf FB potency to compensate for holding 2 charges like Consolation, then I don't see it possible.

The biggest advantage of consolation is the fact that the shields stick around for 30 seconds after consolation so seraph functionally has a duration of 51 seconds, would there really be a downside to having eos cast consolation as soon as rouse goes off then the second cast comes from pressing blessing

Since you have to press the first consolation before the end of seraphs duration so you can cast it the second time and seraph lasts a less amount of time than consolation it covers itself, if you specifically need the heal from the first consolation then you can simply delay seraph till you need the heal

I can’t think of a time when my seraph useage was on such a tight useage that I needed to cast seraph long before I hit the first consolation so I could have her back up later but I also don’t do ultimates so it might be needed there

Hmm...What if Consolation is changed from being a heal + shield to be shield only equivalent to a non crit spreadlo so that the exclusivity of FB and Consolation can be lifted? Also this can also make Consolation not dependent on Rouse and that Rouse can simply be a cooldown to improve Eos' Embraces to become Seraphic Veil.

Honestly I don’t think fey blessing even needs to exist at all but if it’s going to exist it should be sharing button space since SCH is limited on it

I kinda like Fey Blessing, to be honest, since it is an alternative for when I don't have AF stacks (for using it exclusively on Energy Drain )

What I am not fond off is Aetherpact.

In my opinion, Fey Blessing and Consolation are very good candidates for Fey Gauge spenders.
