    Spicy Frontline map ideas

    With borderland ruins probably dissapearing forever like Astralagos I think we deserve some new maps.

    The first one I'd like is a revamped Borderland ruins where the central spire is knocked down, and a king of the hill capture zone is put in its place. Force teams to choose whether to capture, and hold the middle, or hold 4 bases. Say goodbye to PvE "Whack the pinata for points." Or running from combat with the other teams because you *could* miss drone spawns.

    Really stupid map I've been thinking of is a pure 3v3v3 deathmatch that only rewards points for KO's. Fitting for all the people who complain their team never knows what to do. Except there will be no battle high, and the team in third place is given a small DPS boost to compensate for being ganged up on. What could possibly go wrong, besides everyone playing meta jobs like they already do.

    Let us all know of your dumb frontline map fantasies that will probably never happen.

    Id rather not see borderlands go, i do however want another map, Id like to see a dynasty warriors style map/objective utilizing the king of hill suggestion, It'd be nice with a yanxia/Doman aesthetic

    I read this. I had a really good idea.

    What if you have a map with various base (9 should be enough, with 3 of them being big and also near the respawn point of each team.)

    This is the trick. You cannot capture the BIG base as they are already given to each camp, but you can contest it. Let's say that big base always generate 5 points per tick. Let's say that the base is owned by Immortal, but Addlers send a team inside the base. If Immortals are inside the base, they just have to drive them off and that's pretty much it (they also don't generate any point while their is a fight). But if Addlers manage to kill them, or to enter the base while it's empty, the base on the map will start to glow like an alert, and point per tick will not be awarded, instead you loose 2 points per tick while being occupied until you have someone entering the base.

    Small base can be captured the exact same way as you do in borderlands.

    Maybe a capture the flag map. Center of map would have a flag worth a lot of points, if you carry the flag and die, the person dealing the killing blow would take possession of said flag (this also prevents PLD HG cheese because chances of them getting last hit is low in FL). Smaller flags worth less points would spawn at random times at set points with the same concept. Goal is to bring flag to your base node (node does not generate any points).

    Since flag carrier will be focused, you’ll likely see a lot more healers and healers will actually heal other alliances.

    Of course the flag carrier will have a big: “hey I’m over here icon” visible on the character, party list, alliance list and also on the map.

    This also supports minimal player - object interaction. While also forcing people to actually pvp in a pvp map.

    Lol, se can literally copy the mapbfrom warcraft. Warsong gulch is a capture the flag map. Eye of the storm is a hybrid of capture the flag and domination. Someone already did the homework for se.

    I think it would be super fun if there was a mode where we fought under the twelve instead of fighting for the grand companies. 12 small parties hammering away at each other with no respawns unless certain conditions are met. Maybe an area you have to capture and hold for your team to respawn or something to force combat.

    Idea for a frontlines map on the first

    I suggest that there be a frontlines map on the first. We need the first to get PVP representation. Shadowbringers was amazing.

    My idea is that there would be three teams you would randomly be put on.

    Team one would be the Warriors of Light. Team two would be the Warriors of Darkness, and Team three would be the Warriors of Dawn (yes, dawn is a thing).

    Each corner of the map would be themed after a different location on the first. Light would be the Crystarium, and would have a lakeland theme. Darkness would be Eulmore, and would have a Kholusia theme. Dawn would have an Il Mheg theme with its Voebertian castle in the background.

    In each corner the players would be summoned like the heroes were for the last dungeon in Shadowbringers, so the goal would be to overwhelm the opponents via summoning from other shards. It would play into this by having mechanics that involve summoning divine powers, and other Ascian related shenanigans. Would be a good way to memorialize these things, but make a fresh Frontlines mode that feels out of this world.

    Spicy FL idea? Remove exp from it, then sit back and munch popcorn as people that don't read patch notes have a meltdown.
