Triple Triad Tournament Rule-Sets are AWFUL! and need changing

Swap is unfair and yet it is always a rule in rotation for tournaments. It's very frustrating to lose because you're at a disadvantage and completely unsatisfactory when you win, because you had that advantage. This rule should be removed from Tournaments altogether.

Order should be removed from tournaments. It's another rule that is constantly there for tournaments that removes almost all strategy from the game. It makes the games into RNG-fests. We only get 5 cards, we should be able to choose which one we play next in a tournament.

Another one in constant rotation is Plus with either 3-open/all open. You wouldn't play poker with your cards showing, would you? This rule set again, ruins the strategy aspect of the whole game, as you can easily just work out whether or not your opponent has a plus or not coming. Because of this, games are ultimately drawn out and setting traps for opponents effectively become non-existent for they can see your hand.

When there are so many rules in Triple Triad, why are we always permanently subjected to these three game ruining rule sets? I understand you want different ones but it's almost always one of these three. The only other one is Double Roulette.

Where's the Plus/Same Tournament? I swear this used to be in rotation and I've been waiting for it for months!
How about an Ascension/Fallen Ace Tournament?
Why not a Tournament with no rules at all?
You could do a Reverse Tournament. That rule set is always there when playing NPCs around the world, and it can easily be twinned with other rules too, such as: Plus, Same, Ascension, perhaps even Chaos.

There are 13 different rules in Triple Triad, but you're only using 7 of them. Three-Open with Swap does nothing to influence the imbalance that Swap creates though.

Same with Order works only by chance, but it's much more the Order that ruins the Tournament. I explained how Plus with either Three-Open/All-Open doesn't work above.

I feel that some fresh, new rulesets should be introduced into the rotation to improve Triple Triad Tournaments going forwards.

What do you think? Is it time for some new rules? I'm sick of winning or losing directly because of one of the rules, that really don't belong there in a Tournament setting.

Without those rules, there isn't too much to Triple Triad though. Sometimes you see other players' cards, sometimes you don't. Use that information well and it can work to your advantage. I do agree that Swap is pretty terrible, but again... it adds a different flavor to TT. Maybe not chocolate, but instead... chalk flavored...

IIRC, the Spinner's Pull has a much worse rule set - Random. This means that all your cards are random. I guess putting it to three open and swap is basically a way to remove random, yet keep the "Spinner's Pull" aspect.
