Endwalker is my least favorite expansion yet

I've done almost every piece of content this game offers. Yes, I go through phases where I take short breaks, but I've been playing since 2010. I'm going to get burnt out.



I just know how to deal with that. If the game ever stopped being fun, I'd just quit. If I'm not having fun what's the point? That seems to be something a lot of people can't grasp for some reason. They must still be young or something.

I am well aware of the content in this game, I have enough friends to know how damn boring this game's content is, else I would do it myself, I literally have people streaming their content be it ultimate (which is the only interesting content) or to the most random roulettes, variant dungeons etc, and aside from ultimate, everything is a complete bore

Oh so somehow things were better in Shb era then?

I did a bit of content back in SHB and it felt more fun to me yes, but a bit far fetched to say "nostalgia"

People react differently. Some people have an attachment to it, some feel frustrated and wanted to share how they feel and the whole pervasive, toxic positivity culture we currently live in makes it rather hard to do that. Others still possess some kind of hope things might turn around, or to a lesser degree "want to see where it'll end up." It's not really hard to understand. When anything has been a part of your life for any significant amount of time, it's always a little sad when it comes to end, and much more so when it's as a result of factors that feel avoidable.

Algaia was okay, but it left me feeling "Oh, THESE are the gods and goddesses we've been referring to since forever? That's it?"

The Twelve raids really didn't land with me either, but I struggle vocalising why. I mean, I suppose since the Zodiark/ Hydaelyn reveal we expected to some degree that they were going to end up being some form of primal/ ascended Ancients or whatever they turn out to be themselves, but it feels very... strange to address such a famous cornerstone of Eorzean lore and a subject previously so veiled in mystery and central to the plot so casually. I could have seen the reveal being a fairly big deal in the MSQ, instead of it just being like "well hey, it's Byregot and Azem!" It's odd.

They made it easier to get gear in savage for alt jobs. What was one of the first responses here on the forums?

That's not what I mean by toxic positivity.

I mean the attitude prevalent in most pockets of the internet these days wherein any critical reaction towards a given form of media is attacked and derided as "unnecessary negativity" that tries to "ruin" things for everyone else, even when those individuals aren't being included in the topic at hand. It effectively shuts down any discussion that isn't universally positive and makes it incredibly difficult for fans to find a forum (no pun intended) where they can share their opinion without being dismissed or shouted down.

I am sorry to hear that. I hope that the next expansion will be more to you're liking. Personally speaking, EW is my second favourite expansion I think. I really loved the MSQ, the Pandemonium arc, and its added some of my favourite characters to the lore in Vanet and Zero. Sure, its not perfect. Whilst I think it did a good job ending the almost decade long story, ending it in just the expansion did make some elements feel squished and unexplored, such as the stuff in Garlemald and the events of the Sundering. The 6.x patches have so far been a mix of outstanding to mediocre, and I am waiting to see the final of the Twelve arc which... I loved at first but was dissapointed with the second act. Then again, no expansion is flawless.

The raiding scene got the somewhat stormblood treatments, but with lame gameplay. The story have a good ending for saga of ARR, but the new story feels weak af. The grind doesnt exist for relics, It's like playing a shetty version of genshin or honkai star rail dailies to get them. Even the introduction of new content such farmville/4 man content felt a miss shot from the devs. Hard 4 mans could give us tomes upgrades and farmville could make the grind semi-automatic the more you lvl the farmville as a reward for the tedious grind of the start. The good news there a chance they are fixing the 4 mans, but for farmville no chance they wont do it. Overall this expansion felt weak/mid and 7.0 they have to find a solution to make it "fresh" not shb 3 remastered edition.
