How do you feel now that XIV has become an evenue/egasm paradise?

I'm genuinely curious - What are your thoughts, now that XIV has been taken over by the egasm and venue night life?

We complain about all of the spammed venue ads - But they wouldn't be advertising and so successful if you all didn't actually go there.

It doesn't bother me that people use FFXIV as an avenue to socialize with other people. It's just natural.

I interact with other people in other ways and don't go to these evenues. Night clubs just aren't my thing.

I just want a customizable filter for chat and PF at this point. FFXI got one in February that is you just make a text document and add terms to it outside of game so I hope something like that can be incorporated in FFXIV directly. I would love to just block RMT terms and common venue ones. I know they will come up with new ones but that is exactly why I would want it customizable so I can just add any new ones I see.

I have yell/shout disabled and ignore the other category in pf. Only time I ever see references to this stuff is in the forums.

Personally, if these are consenting adults of the proper age and in order to participate you need to go to a specific private location (vs. a big orgy in the middle of town) knock yourself out. Being a social game different strokes for different folks.
