Questions about dragons eyes ! (HW/EW Spoiler)

    Hi everyone,

I have some questions about dragons eyes related to some personal headcannon I might have !

We know that dragons draw most, if not all, of their power from their eyes. Their scales as well may contain powerful aether in large quantities since we used them as amulets to protect ourselves in the 13th where we met with Zero.

On that note, sky dragoon gets a power-up when given the eye of a dragon as we saw in Ishgard. Especially, Estinien got his powers from one of Nidhogg's eyes, besides bathing in his blood. He became corrupted progressively because Nidhogg was ill-intended and carried his will throughout the aether in his eyes, right ?
So I was wondering, if one were to receive an eye from an inherently good dragon, like Vrtra, would one be exempted from the corruption effect and in the end just be a matter of being able to harness/use the extra power from the eyes ?

Another question I might have is, as an attempt to get power from a dragon, apart from doing any malicious thing and getting an eye, what do you thing would happen if one were to be transplanted with a scale of a dragon ? (with the agreement of this dragon of course)

My headcannon is that the eye thing and stuff should work with any mid/high-rank dragon, and the higher the rank, the greater the power-up.

If you have any opinion and thoughts to share, feel free to enlighten me !

At the end of 3.3 Hraesvelgr gives the Warrior of Light one of his eyes temporarily, so that we can defeat Nidhogg who was fully possessing Estinien's body at the time. So yeah, dragons can share their eyes without corrupting people.

As far as their scales go, they are aether resistant. They're routinely used in the construction of armor. The Warding Scales were alchemically enhanced.

As far as power ups go, it's mostly what you can imagine given those facts.

"I thought that my invincible power would hold the world captive, leaving me in a freedom undisturbed. Thus night and day I worked at the chain with huge fires and cruel hard strokes. When at last the work was done and the links were complete and unbreakable, I found that it held me in its grip." - Rabindranath Tagore

The biology of dragons is not entirely clear in game.

For all intents and purposes, the “elder” dragons (the first brood) are not necessarily the same species/“thing” as other dragons.

We do believe they reproduce on an individual level/asexually (they can lay their own individual broods), or possibly assign lesser dragons to lay eggs.

Alternatively, there is something of a viral/blood curse kind of thing where mortals consuming blood can actually become lesser dragons.

Importantly, there is nothing to suggest the terrestrial brood-dragons can share their eyes like the elder/first brood can.
