Correct, It's just showing the actual data values now instead of having to obscurely describe which row & column something is in.
More importantly, it might be indicative of Character Creation changes coming in 7.0, where we might have more control over the values, but that's just speculation.

That's what I'll guess based off that. No real need to know the exact values right now, but if they're replacing the current color options with a wheel or some kind of slider, having the option to see the exact values and even copy them is useful.
