In the overworld, another player got knocked to zero health. Is there a way to revive them without being a healer or having them return to their home crystal?

The use of a Phoenix down or being on Blue Mage with the Angel Whisper or Transfusion spell equipped. Phoenix Downs are from chests inside of Palace of the Dead, Heaven on High or Eureka Orthos. The spells are both from items bought from a NPC after conditions are met. If you have Arcanist/Summoner or Red Mage unlocked and leveled high enough they both have a raise of their own as well.
Phoenix down is cheap on the marketboard. If you have no healing/raising capacity at all then it would be useful to keep some on hand in case you need to revive someone by yourself.
Thank you all. I appreciate the help.![]()
I thought Phoenix Downs were meant only for deep dungeon use cus that was where the chests that drop them are found. They can be used in normal pve? My mind is blown.
They've existed long before Deep Dungeons. There's even one rewarded from early Hildebrand quests. Would imagine they had some other sources once upon a time as well.
I thiiiink they also work for reviving any Duty Support NPCs, too. Maybe Squadrons, but those also have the stackable High-Grade Company-issue Tonic available.
There's even the rare Over-Aspected Cluster you might find in Eureka Anemos, which functions the same as a Phoenix Down.

You can't use them in battle and can't carry more than one into a dungeon, so their overall usefulness is limited, but if you find someone out in the field (or Eureka/Bozja) and don't have a way to raise them magically, it can be used in that case.
