Either it is too hard, or they just can't seem to grasp how desperately we need proper communicative features. I've said this for a long while, I love FFXIV, I truly do... but I also feel as though as time goes on and the game ages the devs and even YoshiP himself are failing to listen to the community as a whole. This complaints have been going on for a long time now, and Dawn Trail sadly suffered as an expac because so many people are fed-up about not being listened to... and I don't mean obeyed, just heard and responded towards accordingly about our concerns...

The player base finally collectively has more complaints than praise right now... be it the MSQ, healer strike, the housing issues, the lack of an at-level boja or something of the like to fill that "gindy" element some people want, or even the communications problems, and DC overcrowding issues (or the lie of that being the case, if some people are correct), the list can go on and on.

Overall, I think the majority of players has at least one major gripe about FFXIV that may not be "game running", but certainly does leave a foul taste in their mouths the longer it lingers... all in all FFXIV has had its fair share of being rough around the edges for a very long time now, and often forgive it because we do love it as fans.

Unfortunately, we've reached a simmering point where SE needs to begin to course correct before this fan base truly boils over. Communication fixes would be one of them, but there are several other fairly simple ones that should be looked at. Although I'm sure others have expressed the easy ones better than I can, as I'm no game dev and wouldn't claim to know how easy a lot of things are.

I would certainly HOPE this one would be easy, but if it was, you'd think they would have done that by now.

If it's not easy, well now there's room to talk and compromise. If it is just because they just don't care, that's about the time we should re-think our subs to FFXIV.... because if they don't care about in-game communication then we're all down-hill from here in terms of the much larger overhuals people have been begging for.
