It's been so long now. It genuinely makes me sad that such a simple request can't be accommodated or at least explained.
The 64-slot limit for cross-world linkshells seems arbitrary when normal linkshells have far more.
It's very difficult to manage large communities when cross-world linkshells - our only viable option - have extremely limited space. It's incredibly frustrating as it could so easily be improved.
The Hunt community thrives on communication via CWLS.
Having so few slots is a huge barrier to this across all regions, even in less densely populated areas.
The 10-year anniversary had a huge focus on the game's growth, yet there's been no attempt to accommodate this in CWLS.
One of the best things about FFXIV is its ability to foster communities and it seems the developers appreciate this when it's mentioned elsewhere, but in practice it's barely functional.
The system is so limited that CWLS are essentially no longer fit for purpose.
Players who enjoy Hunt content are probably those who spend most time subscribed continuously between expansions/patches. These are your core players who log in every day, and we're still requesting either more CWLS slots, or some feedback as to why this isn't possible. It's very important to a large subset of your long-term subscribers.
This has a massive impact on players' ability to enjoy organised communities. Please increase CWLS slots![]()
