Is it common to have tons and tons of names on your blacklist?

I do not think I have ever used the in-game blacklist. I suppose I have been lucky and just not really come into conflict with anyone haha. I do not pay much attention to Lominsa chat, and in Parties you are unlikely to really see anyone again. I think I would add a similar logic to how I use the forums though, as in any form of bigotry, transphobia etc is an instant add.

My blacklist is empty, I don't even block RMT bots and spammers, because they seem to just make a new character and bypass my block.

Yet I see a lot of people who feel very proud of having a lengthy blacklist.

Usually the people I see bragging about their blacklists are terminally online raiders who call everyone they dislike trolls and griefers.

And of course, almost their entire blacklist is comprised of people they meet in pf.

To which I ask, is it common to have 100+ names on your blacklist and is that a healthy way to play this game?

I have 0 people added in black list or friend list since years.

I have probably 100? Most are Rmts that I do clear out from time to time. Others are people who like other have said are people who've spammed a macro with a call. I don't need to be told that new nodes are popping up 5 times in a row by the same person. Others get on there cause they were disruptive at a party. Had three people at a server wide glamor contest that felt like spamming a certain no longer can be done by the player DRG jump. They even said that their FC leader told them to be disruptive. It's that kind of behavior that gets people onto my list. Or people who have actually harassed me in game by following me around and using the trade command to stop me from teleporting. Doing so faster than I could put myself on busy at times.

I only have 1 person on Block, and thats because they were being a Creep.
Otherwsie, there is no reason to have 100+ people on block....RMT? Psh, thats easy to ignore. If you just want to talk to your friends...we have Linkshells.
Or I think you can disable Shouts in the Chatbox, as most of these RMTs use Shout.

You have the tools, and it really bothers me how people just dont use them.

Mine is loaded with RMT and nightclub spammers.
However, I found an easier solution: I just switch my chat mode to Battle when in the city, so I don't see any chat activity at all.

I've more people blacklisted here than in game. I've a number in game but only...like 2 of them will stay on the list. The others would be RMT or nightclub spammers.

I have nobody on my blacklist. Little bothers or offends me, and I mostly play with people whom I know and like.

At one point I was regularly close to maxed out trying to make the gil sellers shut up, and would rotate out removed characters to make space. That got tiring though, so I started ignoring them as unavoidable. These days I still have a lot of people on the blist, but it's all serial FC/venue/etc spammers. Since those are real people being annoying, the duct tape sticks and I have my peace.

I've got 29 and I think some were venue spammers that were particularly obnoxious about it. A few were a premade where my co-healer bailed after the second Ridorana boss and they refused to kick them, making me solo heal through the next two and when I mentioned the vote kick failed in alliance chat, one of them went "Snitches get stitches" in party chat. Their friend magically came back just in time for the final boss. So they'll stay on that list forever while I'll probably clear others off since those characters may have moved on by now.

I don't really have judgement if someone has a lot of people on their list. They just have people they don't want to see things from so they're using the in-game tools.
