Or else the next arc for this next upcoming expansion is gonna do a terrible job hooking us back in. We've had way too much fake out deaths. There were so many opportunities for one of the scions to die, but then they're just fine.

Y'shtola should have died during Stormblood, but it seems Zenos slapped her with a wet noodle instead.

Thancred should have died during Shadowbringers, since he has completed his entire character arc, redeemed himself, matured, and could of went out like a complete chad.

G'raha Tia should of died during 6.3. I cried during that scene, and it would of been a very nice send off, to talk about fulfilling those wishes for him to travel with us even though deep down, we know we couldn't. Would of been another huge Haurchefant death moment. That would of completely broken us emotionally and I'm just a complete masochist.

Also, the "deaths" during Endwalker's climax was just a "Oh no they're dead now! Anyways..." and made it so obvious that none of the scions are dead. When Emet Selch brought them all back, I just laughed. It was so unintentionally funny.

They need to stop with this. They're faking out so much deaths, I'm still so convinced that I think Zenos is still alive in some way. That's how bad this story is handling deaths right now. I have zero trust with any deaths that happen unless it's a death that's happening to a random NPC character that was introduced 5 minutes ago.

It's like Yoshi P knows that you're all a bunch of snowflakes, and he just doesn't want to hurt your feelings. But I want my feelings hurt, because I'm gonna be so bored from the lack of tension from the story.
