Arenvald Lentinus is a Scion. A hero. A friend, who heedlessly and without hesitation gave of himself to offer salvation to a traitoress that so many others had since written off as irredeemable. He sacrificed a crucial part of himself, something he'd never have returned, to the cause of the eradication of the mad schemes of the utmost villainy. He is valuable, and he can contribute yet more to the cause. Many enjoy him, and would see him return to the fold if such an eventuality were to be put on offer. Cid nan Garlond is the premier genius of Eorzean Magitek. He is capable of many things, including the restoration and retrofitting of an Allagan superweapon eventually made useful to end other, more malevolent Allagan superweapons. Magitek is also capable of much. The world of Final Fantasy XIV is loaded with ingenious and revelatory Magitek, and this can be put to prominent use to either restore of bolster the use of Arenvald's legs.

For too long now, our friend Arenvald has quite literally sat on the sidelines. Pointlessly meandering, only to be wheeled out to be a glorified cheerleader. A criminal act of the highest caliber, when he can be so much more. His presence is a shining beacon to all who witness it. Bring him back, Square Enix. Restore one of the prodigal sons of the Scions of the Seventh Dawn to his rightful glory, and place at our side. I, and many others players I have precious little doubt, implore you to find it in your hearts to do so.

I don’t see why it’s such an issue to begin with considering all the other things we have in game. Like, for what reason couldn’t we do a variety of things for him. We have Allagan tech. We have wild and crazy magic. We have weird Garlean chimera-science. We have Magitek. We have the ironworks.

We literally have the technology to to do a Million-Dollar-Man makeover. A million times over.

Agreed. Considering Grynewaht went full hypertuned cyborg in stormblood, and Lugae in endwalker even goes further, he becomes a full robot.. I dont see why they cant just give Arenvald a pair of magitek legs.

I agree - always found him to be an interesting character, particularly with his having the Echo but not being as confident in actually using it as the Warrior of Light. Regardless of his mobility (which, as others have suggested, could be addressed) it's something that could/should be explored further.

And I would say I'd love to see something develop between him and Fordola, but SE seem adverse to having relationships develop between NPCs and I therefore don't expect to see anything of the sort.

I find his backstory, basic as it is, to be far more compelling than G'raha's "inexplicably good at Allagan things, oh also I'm a bloodline descendant of Allag royalty/chosen ones" nonsense. Blegh to that, I say.

I like his character. It hit home to me with this story as at the time I was recovering from a very serious stair accident which has left me with not much use in my left leg. I really felt for this story. Have a lot of metalwork I am now made up of screws and plates lol but at the time I was sitting in a wheelchair and it made me feel better about my situation lol! So yes give him new legs!!
