ISP Throttling FFXIV, detected as P2P

Not sure if this is the place to drop this information. But over the weekend, started getting throttled from ISP: AT&T. Not very noticeable in general play, but as soon as I get into a Frontline - its Red Light/Green Light, constant.

Did the usual song and dance, computer restart, router hard reset, ect. Still had issues (2+ days).

Flipped on a VPN, problem immediately resolved.

Saw several people in-game who claimed to be having the same issue pop up around the same time. Just figured I'd pass this information along.

    Platform: PC (Standalone)
    Connection Type: Wired
    Region: NA (US Central)
    Game Server: Primal / Ultros

Though AT&T's had issues tonight and before with FFXIV, I don't think this is solely their issue alone.

A few FC members I spoke to that use other ISPs such as Cox and Comcast have stated issues as well, and it seems NTT's nodes in California are the culprit.

Still, if a major ISP is doing this, that's something you'd have to talk to them about.

My issues only cropped up today. The weekend was totally fine.

    Interesting.

I might be jumping to a conclusion early (I'm certainly not an expert on this subject matter), though this is eerily reminiscent of the trouble I had with Comcast and throttling many years back.

It just seemed odd that this was primarily taking place in Frontline specifically and not really impacting my dungeon experience all that much. That's what lead me to believe that it was the constant barrage of peer to peer that was triggering the event. I will definitely be giving my ISP a call during business hours to hash things out with them, though - in my experience, they tend to deny that they're doing anything (And in the case of Comcast, my problem would miraculously disappear 1h or so after my call xD ).

EDIT: At time of writing I haven't run a detailed tracert to try to diagnose the issue.
