House demoed 10 days too early

I logged on 2 weeks ago to see my house was gone and the plot empty, which should be wrong as i would have had 10s left before the process happened. Ive been trying to contact the terrible customer service for the entire 2 weeks only to get the exact same email sent back every time.

"Hello, Mycroft Mycroft, and thank you for your GM call.

We understand that you are contacting us regarding in-game housing that was recently demolished as part of the Reclamation of Inactive Housing. We know how much time and effort goes into maintaining a home, so we are sorry for any inconvenience that this may have caused you.

At this time, we can confirm that your report has been escalated and awaiting review from our appropriate channels for a further investigation. Once the investigation has been completed, you will be contacted directly with the results.

Every time i ask for an update or anything its just the same email. At least have someone tell me my situation is screwed and that ive wasted my time. I havent logged in since then so there is zero confusion of the exact dates im talking about in the emails, so 2 weeks are already gone from this months subscription.

TLDR: The demo timers can be wrong and SE takes their sweet time acting like they will help.

Your house is gone either way, it's not like they're going to evict the new person. SE customer service is a shitshow though.

Did you simply step inside your house or interact with it? You have to actually do something not simply walk in and walk back out. It can be as simple as move a piece of furniture around, buy something from a vendor, muck around with a summoning bell. Anything works so long as you actively did something. If you say, walked in and started crafting then it may still get flagged since you didn't directly interact with the house itself.

Regardless, you won't get it back even if what you're saying is true. SE won't evict a random person. At best, you'll get a reimbursement and be told how sorry they are. Even that would be unlikely as they'll likely say there's nothing they can do.

You don't have to interact with anything. Just stepping in dismisses the timer.

This is actually false though, you dont have to interact with anything inside the house, I have cancelled god knows how many auto demos, all I need to do is step inside the house, absolutely nothing else, the message of the auto demo cancellation pops up and that's it

There has been reports in the past of people claiming there's a bug that sometimes entering doesn't reset the demo timer.
No way of confirming if this is true or not as it would be a rare bug though.

I'm sorry you lost your house

Can confirm. Haven't interacted with my own house at all, short of walking in and out, in months and it's still there.

I stand corrected then. Just heard a lot of people whine about losing their houses despite going inside of it. Probably a whole lot of nothing in retrospect.

True, you only need to enter the house to cancel the demolition timer.

If you wait long enough for the demolition timer to show up in the Timers menu, when you enter the house, you will get a message in the chat log saying that the demolition process has been cancelled.

All of these people that claim they lost a house due to a bug have one thing in common, they don't actively use their house.
