Yes, I will never enjoy a PvP mode that favors whichever team is stacked with premades that queue specifically to stomp solo que players for an easy series XP farm. No thanks. Take your premades to frontlines.
I'd play ranked 99% of the time if the mode was populated and didn't have 40 minute queues a week after a new season. Casual mode would be great to play other jobs I don't normally play and be able to do so with friends... Ya know, that thing you think you have, but you don't.
You love imagining I have no friends, when I get the impression that you're one of the most unbearable people on this forum to play with. Don't push your insecurities about your friends on me buddy. You dug yourself into that hole. If you weren't so unbearable maybe you would spend time playing with your friends rather then incessantly whining on the forums.I'd play ranked 99% of the time if the mode was populated and didn't have 40 minute queues a week after a new season. The absolute irony lmao...You love imagining I have no friends, when I get the impression that you're one of the most unbearable people on this forum to play with. CC *absolutely* should have a party system. The mode itself is VERY frustrating to play Solo, regardless of Casual or Ranked, because simply people do not listen to Quick Chat, throw themselves at Crystal, and never follow anyone calling shots or anything. FFXIV has a mentality against competitive PvP, but CC intent is to provide a place for Competitive PvP. Therefore, not being able to properly communicate, or play with friends, is a massive detriment.
And if you're that worried about a SoloQ being stomped by a team? That's simple. Make a Queue for teams only, and make a Queue for solo only, in Casuals, at least. That way everything should be equal, right? There's hardly any enjoyment in playing an unbalanced mode, with very bad networking, by yourself and seeing how you're completely unable to turn the tide of the match because one or two selected few that seem to be completely forgetting what the mode is meant for.
That kind of mindset should stick to Frontlines, where they plagued the mode and made it also equally unenjoyable because no one really cares about winning or losing.
I think people just don't know how to play. They care about winning but they don't know how to read chat during combat, what the chat commands even mean, they quickly learn that they should stand in the crystal which is the reason why they run in solo, because they think they have to accumulate time inside the circle and they don't know about many other fundamental things in CC. They mean well and try really but they just dont and wont know unless they get external help, the game doesnt explain itself.CC *absolutely* should have a party system. I can agree with that.I think people just don't know how to play. Equally, both are a game's fault, but at the same time, people do not really feel invested in learning PvP in this game.
And offering them help, or just trying to explain things, more than often is taken wrong or just straight up refused.
There's very little motivation to keep people playing it. Even when we had cool rewards like the PvP Sets, all that happened there was Win Trading. It's just the mentality that exists in the game, I guess.
I think team queue should be a separate thing from casual if you're going to implement it. While I'm not going to be as blunt as the posters above about it, I rather like that for the most part 'everyone' has to make do with the lot they're given in casual.
Sure, the random factor can be an issue on its own, but I personally dont feel like I'm robbed of a match due to the random circumstances of the other team, even if they have a technically 'superior' composition. I've played enough matches with all kinds of compositions and the results usually speak with the skilled players who try their best and play to what strengths they have in casual.
If you introduce premades as a feature, even with two or more people, things can get significantly more curb stompy against solo queuers. I've done queues where I'm matched up with my friends, and the advantage of coordinating over voice call can be very punishing for the other team who can't even communicate beyond the very limited preset callouts-- it's very obvious to me when the other team has friends queued up together. Jumping key targets and peeling for your teammates goes like clockwork and random teams, unless they are very individually skilled, usually can't compete.
This. But I feel like if they did implement a seperate premade group queue it would be completely dead. and everyone would still be doing casual/ranked CC solo. Perhaps a new PvP arena style mode for 2-3 people?I think team queue should be a separate thing from casual if you're going to implement it.
