How come cross world weddings aren't still a thing?

I know it's kinda dumb but i can't believe in a game where everyone is so split yet we can do content together thanks to cross world, recently cross DC and of course make lots of friendships this way, we cannot attend these type of events because...

Again i know this is dumb and you will be bothered by it a maximun of twice playing this game but it's truly a shame

I wanna say it has most to do with the ring. It teleports you to your betrothed. Hard to do cross world.

I mean how hard is it to just remove the ring and just spend at max...what...1000 gil to teleport to their area?

I rather they get rid of the ring and just allow for cross world marriage.

My point doesn't go to cross world teleport, two people having to be from the same world is the the extent understandable

My problem comes simply you cannot attend those if you aren't on the same world, so if you got the majority of friends cross world like it'll be possibly the case, little people is able to come due to the restriction

I wonder if it's based on how the invitation is coded as to why it's only people from the same world. Hopefully they look at it and adjust it so that people from the same DC can come to the wedding.

that possible since its got the date and time based on the homeworld the invite was created for

I also wish we could send mail to others that are on friend list but different servers and not just data centers.

Evidently there's something weird about the way the instancing works for the Ceremony. YoshiP has said it is something they are working to fix but still can't give an estimate on when it will happen.

You don't really need to play a character twice. Start in Gridania, do the first 2 quests and start the third so you're able to roam the city. A higher level player can then take you to the Sanctum.
