    Google Fiber in San Antonio. The game has been nearly unplayable all day - unable to make basic combat combos, mount/dismount, teleport without taking several seconds to respond and even then sometimes it doesn't and I have to try the action again. Was able to get some basic things done, but today was ridiculous.

    Comcast in Pittsburgh, PA (Northeast US)… been having bad lag for awhile now, but Sunday morning is when the lag/stuttering became almost non-stop and unplayable. There are brief periods here and there where it’s tolerable, but it never goes away entirely. My numbers aren’t as high as most of the ones I’ve seen, but the lag is the worst I’ve ever had in this game. Any action is literally 1, 2, 3, lag, over and over again.

    This was run just after 11 pm tonight, a weeknight… was probably worse earlier but I didn’t do my trace til I was signing off for the night.

    I wanna add that Spectrum is having issues. The last time this happened, I couldn't access FF14 for over an hour because of Spectrum and others on Twitter had the same issue. Also, I can't even access any Twitch livestreams atm with Spectrum, but it's fine on my phone with Verizon.

    Figured I'd add my share of the troubles. Though I am not with Spectrum or any of the previously mentioned ISPs. I used Conway Corp here in Arkansas. All of this lag started around midday today, the 13th. It was perfect just the other night. No issues at all. I'm sure it is not my ISP given my internet has been flawless all day. It is only ffxiv I am having this issue with.
    Through a tracreroute, it seems just like with everyone else my issues start at the NTT IPs.

    Same issue here. Spectrum internet. Couldn't complete duty because of lag in instance. The other players would freeze and I would guess what mechanic was happening, then it would all catch up after a couple of seconds. They said my character was moving & my abilities were going off, but I couldn't tell, and there was a delay after clicking abilities.

    Cox of southern louisiana. Since 2 or 3 days ago all i get is *poor* connection status now. Always has been excellent. Game is almost unplayable. The delay....lag...playing redmage and i hardcasting spells twice in a row before dualcast buff even appears. Raids are impossible, crafting is frusterating since i use NO MACROS EVERRRR! This is horrible and people go and stop all at once. Cant tell if my skills are working or the raids or dungeons just everything freezes for seconds. Im on ps4 original, ive tried wireless and wired. Nothing changes. My other game works fine. Youtube fine. Ff14 is only thing that is causing me such grief...

    Been running PingPlotter throughout the evening and it seems the connection issues are potentially calming down now?


    Never mind. As I was writing up this post, the server latency literally started up again at 2:30 AM in the morning.


    Whatever NTT is doing behind the scenes, they really need to get their act together and stop sabotaging our player experience. This isn't simply an issue with our internet service providers, such as AT&T, Spectrum, Windstream, Optium, Comcast, Cox, etc. (At this point, you may as well say all ISPs been affected by this problem.) This is literally a problem with NTT, their deflection of fixing the problem, and the poor service that's provided to Square Enix.

    Another Spectrum customer having issues with lag since yesterday here. I had noticed some action and button lag earlier in the day, but towards the evening the game was nearly unplayable when in a duty. People were stopping and zooming ahead in and out of instances.

    Spectrum user.

    The node at ae-2.r24.lsanca07.us.bb.gin.ntt.net gave me a latency spike from the 30 ms it took me to ping the node at Dallas TX to 150 ms, with approximately 5% packet loss. It was bad last night.

    Time for Square Enix to contact NTT and tell them WTF again.

    Spectrum customer as well, had some really bad packet loss that passed on by after a bit but it was very noticeable. Sorry for lack of info as I'm on PS5.
