this issue still exists and is NTT’s and needs to be addressed before you lose more subscriptions, Square.

Let's say they lose 2000 subscriptions over this. So roughly $30K a month; $360K for the year. Their total revenue last year was $2.232B.

It's a drop in the bucket for them. They don't care, and their slow, meager responses to this thread are the smoking gun that proves it.

And NTT REALLY doesn't care. They're over three times as large as SE and are foreign-owned.

I’m sure you’re not wrong, but Rome wasn’t built in a day and I will keep posting in this thread and I hope others do as well in social media and game sites to bring continuing attention to this recurring problem with NTT. I hope it makes square look as lazy/uncaring as possible. I’ve been subscribed to this game for almost 10 years now and they are another money hungry corporation like the rest of them and it’s for that reason I don’t owe them an ounce of pity in this situation.

By all means, keep this thread alive! I'm following it so I can let my friends know when they can ditch their VPNs.

I'm not saying to give up, I'm just saying to keep your expectations realistic and be prepared for the reality of this not being fixed anytime soon.

Boycott other SE products, and let everyone know WHY you are boycotting them. Anyone who complains about this issue/SE and then turns around and buys FF16/FF7R2 is actively telling SE that they're okay with their terrible practices.

I will also keep posting, at some point the blame seems to be less NTT and more SE bc they're who we pay monthly. Not an ounce of communication except "it's your ISP" when it's actually SE's ISP.

Two weeks now of unplayable latency without a VPN is absolutely ridiculous, you shouldn't have to pay another service to use a service you already pay for.

This is just shameful.

I mean, we've all known it's NTT nearly from the beginning. That AT&T response didn't tell us anything *new*. The lack of communication is definitely on SE. And it's easy to say "well they just need to get a new ISP" but I think it's very likely, given that this is corporation-to -ISP rather than individual-to-ISP, that they are locked in a solid contract. Legally, they may not be able to get a new ISP. It just wouldn't surprise me if NTT has everyone involved by the nutkins at this point and is just, you know, being an evil megacorp about it.

Ya know...WoW gave me a free 3 days recently and even though I quit that game, starting to look a lot more enticing lately the longer this goes on.
3 weeks now of this, no progress has been made at all. Just getting tired.
Wasn't able to do any 6.4 prep because of the issues.
Haven't been able to even enjoy the 6.4 story because of the issues.
Haven't been able to do any raid or trial prog because of the issues.
My motivation to play is just completely gone.

I'm giving it another week, and then I'm going to start packing up my house into my apartment and retainers. There's nothing else I can do and sadly I seem to be in the minority of people that are willing to go this far.

I love this game, but people aren't wrong when they say it's cult like. SE is just as much of a corporation as NTT and whatever your ISP is. You don't need to defend them or enable them by going out of your way to spend more of your own money just so you're able to enjoy their product but that's what a lot of people are doing. Unfortunately that means people like myself who aren't willing to go that far either have to put up or shut up and leave. I'm going to be optimistic and give it what I feel like is a fair amount of time but I'll probably be taking the second option unfortunately.

I honestly feel like the only thing AT&T users can do that MIGHT make a difference is mass cancellation of subs… not sure how much a difference it can possibly make but clearly complaining to all parties involved is not working in the slightest.

When people say "Get a VPN" that isn't quite working as well. I did just that, I've tried two of them and I'm still getting disconnections, actually. The Game won't even load for me from the launcher now, and I'm a Spectrum customer that's also dealing with this issue like a lot of you people are.
