I wouldn't worry about Cloudflare too much. They route a large chunk of the internet already and are a pretty large, publicly traded company; they'll have plenty of capacity.

Cloudflare specializes in keeping data flowing and blocking DDoS attacks. I use them as a proxy and first line of defense for my various home hosted web sites and Home Assistant setup. I literally have a rule blocking ALL IPs that aren't from the USA. I don't have anyone outside the country that accesses my stuff anyways. You would be shocked how much gets blocked from Russia and China.

Cloudflare offers this free as well.
