Bad lag again with NTT's NA server network

Does WARP have split tunneling, as mentioned by lolnotacat above? I checked the link, but it doesn't seem to be specific.

It has options for split tunneling but it's mostly meant to be used as a big ON / OFF button so you have to enter the IP addresses and subnet maskings manually.

I simply hit the button to turn it on when I'm playing FFXIV and then turn it off when I'm done. Not the best setup in the world but like I said I trust Cloudflare way more than these random VPN services.

I don't believe it does, no. At least, not the version I'm using. Just a big on/off button.

If you click the gear icon on the big On / Off toggle button then go into Preferences and then Advanced it has split tunneling options there.

Good to know! Granted, I use it the same way you do and just turn it on when I start FFXIV and off when I'm done. Kinda fun to watch the ping and packet loss graphs jump when I do that.

Why are so many raging at SE when it's NA garbage service providers and their infrastructure that is the problem?

Nevertheless, hopefully SE can make ATT pull their finger out and fix their garbage.

Some people are suggesting paying money for a VPN or purchasing new internet (lol). We should not have to pay extra money to "get around" an obvious problem. Someone needs to take responsibility. Fix the problem. That's it.

I'm agree 100% but I already had a VPN I paid for to use for other things.

I will still be pushing SE for some sort of credit to my/our accounts for however long this problem last.

My VPN provider (PIA) has this but I can't get it to work with FF14. Works fine with browsers or other apps though.

Edit: Not sure why I didn't think of this sooner.

So I tried to have FFXIV go though the VPN only using split tunneling and it didn't work. So I just tried the other way, I only assigned apps I want to bypass the VPN to the list, everything else goes though it. That works. Now I can browse to google search without getting an annoying "check all crosswalks" popup. Also I can use imgur because they seem to block a lot of the PIA IP's.

So my web browser of choice, Discord and whatever else I want I just add to the list to bypass. Browser is really the only needed one.

Yeah and I also learned not to turn it on / off when I'm logged in because then it kicks me out and makes me wait a minute to get back in ������

But turning it on / off on the login screen / character selection screen seems fine.

Because the issue is NTT. You can see this with all the trace routes provided. NTT is the data center contracted by Square Enix.

Another way to look at it is all of us experiencing the issue ONLY have this issue with FFXIV. This isn't an ATT issue, it's an NTT issue. And NTT isn't our customer, Squenix is. They have to get on NTT's butt about fixing it.

Because communication on the issue has been basically non-existent. People are still finding this now 53-page thread who had no idea what was going on, because there hasn't been an official Lodestone post about it even though this has been going on for over a week.

From everything we can see the issue lies with NTT, not AT&T. NTT is SE's vendor--meaning that SE has far more sway over them than they would over AT&T. Meaning SE has far more sway over them than anyone here has over AT&T.

I also wouldn't say people are "raging" at SE. People are (justifiably) frustrated with poor communication and an ongoing issue preventing them from using a service they pay for. Reducing the situation to just "Why people big mad at SE" is pretty inaccurate.

Because its NTT that is the issue. NTT provides transport services for XIV's servers. NTT has already admitted this, but why it only affects AT&T users is the mystery.
