I'm not a Twitter user so it certainly won't be me.

Shame SE can't include all players in all their giveaways instead of forcing players to use Twitter. But then it's really about the marketing/publicity and not about doing something nice for the player base.

Would you rather have how it's been in the past? Buy something worth 20$ off of Amazon, magazine subscriptions, an app that not everyone can use cause they might not live in an area where that's applicable, or by giving money to a randomly selected twitch streamers channel?

Well, to be fair, while it could be worse - it could still be better too. I'd prefer an in-game survey or something as another option to enter - like we can give feedback rating new content or send in a sentence about what we like.

Sure, it could be better. Though I'm not sure a survey would be better since they seem to have fumbled those in the past where not everyone with a subscription was sent one. Or knew that they had even sent one. At least this way all you need to do is have a Twitter account and to be at least 18yrs old or have parental/guardian consent. It's not even excluding any of the regions so OCE and other areas that have been excluded in the past are able to have a chance.

Some of those other promotions were sponsored partnerships where the other company was generally taking on responsibility for handling the majority of the giveaway and SE was simply providing the prizes. I've never gotten the impression that Twitter is sponsoring their Twitter giveaways. It's pure social media marketing.

I don't remember when they used the forums/lodestone for something like this. Still compared to the various times OCE and EU have been screwed over by not being able to participate along with other countries or those who live in rural areas this one is probably the best way. That and by the looks of it this is just the first round at a chance for one of the past collaboration mounts. With pretty clear instructions on what one needs to do.

No - I don't really use Twitter much at all and don't really want to provide SE with a link between my in-game account and my other social media accounts.

The skeptic in me doesn't feel if I made a new Twitter with no followers that I'd be selected anyway lol.
