Why is Akh Morn so laggy in PvP?

As you might know, akh morn is the nuke that SMN gets access to when they use their bahamut LB. It has an extremely random and unreliable execution timing, sometimes bahamut casts it instantly when you press the button, sometimes you'll have to wait up to 2-3 gcds before it happens. This isn't about the delay between animations and damage snapshots that FFXIV has in general, I'm aware of how that works, it's just straight up random.

This used to be an issue in PvE as well, and was tied to how the skill interacted with the wyrmwaves the pet was casting, as well as any movement the pet was doing. Since Endwalker, this problem has been all but eliminated in PvE by them making pets more responsive, and making demi-summons stationary.

In PvP however, it's worse than it ever was. Burst windows in PvP are extremely small and demand a high amount of precision, so having this much randomness tied to the execution of the skill renders it basically useless as a reliable source of burst damage. It's just strange to me that this is the case when no other PvP skill is this inconsistent.

It's because the fast and cutting edge responsive servers FFXIV runs on are basically hand picked potatoes wired together. Latest cutting edge technology. Not just an Akh Morn thing, but animations and our potato servers not being capable of handling 72 player combat.

There is something wrong with how pets/summons work and it has pretty much always been like that. Old SMN had the same issue and they changed it that the spells were cast from the player but for some reason the rework returned to the actual summon casting those spells so its heavily affected by its positioning and the targets positioning
