Couldn't ever say I knew deep down to the Lil things, what it all needs.
<expected and necessary text explaining ones rambling-or-difficulty to keep it short HeRe>
I've said it alot, but I'm more leaning to the color on the roulette. That FFXIV will likely set up its final structures in the coming years, whilst simultaneously FINALLY(for the older players) growing its depth of content for those who need/want more.<Set you depth levels, as not many would know how you see it from a thin film, to almost barely off your feet>
As for a New MMO from SE, FF? or not, YoshiP? or not.
Like I've said when I was more active weeks ago, kinda early to tell, just like it's early to tell what the outlook will be til at least the first two Fanfests and the story/.x series concludes.
Though, I'm very optimistic that SE has at least a handful of competent people thinking ahead for their MMO Sectors.
<By which I mean, that they likely have a few ideas already as to what they'll probably want to work on when the next 10 years look to be upon them in the terms of developing a new MMO. Right as, or to release just as it ends or a bit after.>
As at least one other has said, some engines just become more and more apparent as being unable to Hold what many could Expect to Define a MMO of the traditional, or current expectations.
<Basically, I agree that RN UE is a terrible choice. But SE usage has definitely been clear, and I can't recall if XVIs was stated to be something specific, asides that it wasn't tied to something.>
The topic of what the best details for a new mmo can go on forever. So I won't bring those up, since in the end that will literally depend on the servers of the time anyways, and how it may have advanced in multiple fronts by that time. (Afternote: i failed)
[Who knows, it might even take the extremes and disconnect what the series is know for completely from the game, and even out the stats only when in a story mode, til we are released back into the normal game.]
[They are, at the very least wiser on avoiding the restraints when building/rebuilding a game. Some may say it's a blind optimism to expect it to affect development. Yet they cannot really deny that it did affect, and still affects things, even how they perceive things to work. Excuse or not.]
If we are to go through things one by one.
I at the very least can imagine the inner regions of the world map to be much larger and connected, before it'll eventually fragment into middle-to-outer zones and boundaries of the same size. With potential transitional zones connecting new areas. <With the inner zones larger focus on the Hub>
I doubt SE, or as YP has expressed <whether you agree with him or not, regardless if its about XIV or what is done with the XVI combat giving impressions of what may occur elsewhere>
Which way the combat will go.., (You can say that they'll appeal to mass audience with action-and it's various forms-, a old/current/new hybrid, or stay even longer as traditional.) <I wouldn't be surprised if they decided to struggle with "greed" and try to fit all, not to please everyone or tick of a checklist of options. but to increase variety, and avoid some of the sameness/homogenized feelings a undeniable amount of players feel.>
As for graphics, I imagine by that time, we'll likely get something that is, if not close to the Trailers/Patch Reveals.[But this is still a long time away, with no way to tell what could happen in that time.](so I feel like I'm making a conservative guess on what could happen.)
[Don't have much bet/stock on future Stylistic artstyle from SE if it's a FF MMO, unless they not only tested the waters of the "Ratings" hole, but also merged ideas of multiple genres/styles and various Views of fantasy from east/west/etc.<as much as labeling the regions could make them unintendedly groan.>]
