    Some QoL changes

    This is my opinion and I know opinions in FFXIV are shunned and seen as heresy but got a few ideas they could and should change

    Weekly tome caps: move it to 450 to 900 permanently would take a month to get tome gear and wouldn't "kill" the content

    Ex Trial tokens: move it from 99 to 50. 50 fights guaranteed to get then 99 fights and then will never go back. I think that is fair

    Normal 8 man raid weekly weapon token: Instead of 7 weeks make it 4 weeks all the time. Month each class for their weapon if that is what you want.

    Glam dresser: I know it was ramped up to 800 but everyone wants transmog. People and devs say "code and server issues". To me I think it is for the people to buy more retainers for inventory space which means more money for them.

    Market Board: Since the market board is rife with bots and price gouging/cutting. How about a true auction house where people can bid on the item

    Crafting: Especially the crystals/clusters. Is it about time we just get rid of them? What is the purpose of it on top of mats. Materials should be the only thing needed for crafting

    tome caps: not a huge concern since I craft a majority of my gear

    EX tokens: mechanically challenged so never do them

    same with savage weekly

    Glam dresser: I bought retainers to hold crafting materials, very little gear on them now. not a huge fan of more than 800 bits of gear

    Market Board: huge no. when I want something, I want it NOW. I dont want to wait to get it. sure you say, pay the "buy out price" which is guaranteed to be stupidly over what its worth. so hard pass on that

    Crafting: is it time? they are at best minor, somewhat the same as the electricity or gas you use at home to do things. on the fence for that one. I dont notice them 98% of the time, I just have a bunch. dont take up space either.

    The only thing for tomes that I'd want is for them to drop the cost of head/boot/gloves from 475 to 450, so you can buy one with exactly one week's worth of tomes. Being screwed by 25 tomes is just cruel. Alternatively, upping the cap to 900 while rescaling how much you get from things (to not just add more grind per week), while keeping costs similar, would be ok too

    Not sure what you mean by EX tokens. Mounts are 99 yes, but we now get 2 per clear, making it 50 runs to 'guarantee' the mount, while also solving the issue of 'the chance of getting your job's weapon while grinding is super low' cos of how many jobs we now have. If we reduced the mount price to 50 as well, it'd drop the run count to 25 and I assume they wouldn't want to do that as it'd kill the grind faster (depopulating the PF too quick)

    Remove the weekly restriction on the blade full stop. You're already gated for tome weapons by the tome cost itself, there's no need to gate it based on 'clear this normal raid X times idiot' too

    Agree on Glam Dresser. I would rather they pull the trigger and tell everyone 'shut up about more plates this more space that. We're working on making the system futureproof with an overhaul but it will take time'. Like I don't care if it takes 3 years of 'no new space in dresser' if it means we get a WOW Appearances tab that can store everything (you get it once, it's yours forever type thing)

    Market board/AH dont care, probably only would be used for big big items like rare mounts (ie eureka mounts or equivalent from new content)

    Crystals/etc are completely surplus to requirements now, they're just there for bots to gather and 'cos the lore'. We're at the point where we spend like 7 per craft and we still don't notice they're there. And when we run out, we just buy like 5000 more from the MB because bots have cratered their value forever

    Virtually is already with the 2 totem thing. I would actually like it to be 25. Once I've done an ex 25 times I'm kinda getting burned out. But 50 is a massive improvement.

    As I understand it, the purpose of the weekly tome cap is to get players to log in every week. The limit exists to slow progress and keep people subbed longer - which makes money for SE while ensuring that players who don't hit the cap every week don't get left too far behind.

    They just need to revert the 5.3 crafting changes in general.

    It's not QoL, but not everyone should be able to make 'the best' stuff with zero effort required.

    People that put the effort into something deserve to reap the rewards, not the other way around.

    Some real QoL things I would like:

    - chat log autohide (with configurable time)

    - page up/down in the expanded log

    - open world / eureka / bozja party level sync

    - tackle box

    - raid (and other untradable) tokens as currency or key items rather than regular inventory slots

    - glamour dresser furnishing or combo with armoire (or better yet glamour closet with every item you have ever bound to you)

    That is more of a system change than a QoL change. They nerfed crafting so that more people would do it and that is exactly what happened.

    I agree, but that would interfere with the general assumption of "I sub, I should be able to do it ALL with minimal effort"

    hence why we get posters wanting the mount removed from Savage and added to something "easier". the idea of having to put in work seems to be a vague concept to some these days
