Just want to play the game and not have IRL politics be jammed into

Once again the Twitter XIV folks are pushing politics into the game...I wish these folks can learn to separate reality from fantasy. I play Ffxiv to relax and have fun and not deal with IRL stuff, but when folks push there political agenda into a game it gets ugly. Why can't people keep there political agenda out and just play the game?

the problem is they cannot separate real life from fantasy and that causes problems for everyone.

Yeah, like imagine if they put in a story about say an invading fascist nation trying to overtake our homeland. What if they add in stories about how the different races of Eorzea can be manipulated into harming others via fear, and how we should strive for peace and understanding even against our enemies? Perhaps they may add in a story about how a nation ruled by a theocracy can lead to endless bloodshed due to blind hatred? Horrible, that would be!

But what 'type' of agenda are you afraid of? How would it stop you from enjoying the game in any way? You are not really giving any specifics, because what is and is not 'political' differs from person to person. To me fantasy is my favorite genre because it can explore and examin almost every issues in interesting ways. Plus no piece of art is apolitical. Our biases will always shade our creations.

What I am getting at is that there are individuals who cannot separate real life from fantasy and is pushing a political agenda. this will cause problems for everyone...
