I stand corrected then. Just heard a lot of people whine about losing their houses despite going inside of it. Probably a whole lot of nothing in retrospect. This is actually false though, you dont have to interact with anything inside the house, I have cancelled god knows how many auto demos, all I need to do is step inside the house, absolutely nothing else, the message of the auto demo cancellation pops up and that's it
"Stand in the ashes of a trillion dead souls and ask the ghosts if honor matters."
"The silence is your answer."
you will get a notification in chat about the demo timer being reset once once you fully enter.Did you simply step inside your house or interact with it? You have to actually do something not simply walk in and walk back out. It can be as simple as move a piece of furniture around, buy something from a vendor, muck around with a summoning bell. Anything works so long as you actively did something. If you say, walked in and started crafting then it may still get flagged since you didn't directly interact with the house itself.
Regardless, you won't get it back even if what you're saying is true. SE won't evict a random person. At best, you'll get a reimbursement and be told how sorry they are. Even that would be unlikely as they'll likely say there's nothing they can do.
There has been reports in the past of people claiming there's a bug that sometimes entering doesn't reset the demo timer.
No way of confirming if this is true or not as it would be a rare bug though.
I'm sorry you lost your house
Sorry about your house OP that really sucks, unfortunately the other user was correct, I doubt they can give you your house back![]()
You say that you logged in 2 weeks ago, but did you go inside of the house? Because logging into Final Fantasy XIV online the video game will NOT keep your house for you. In order to keep your house in Final Fantasy XIV, you have to not only log into the video game, but you ALSO have to WALK INNNNNNNTO your digital Final Fantasy XIV house. Ok? Your character has to walk inside of your house. Did you walk inside of your house 2 weeks ago? Can you remember what you did when you walked in?I logged on 2 weeks ago to see my house was gone and the plot empty, which should be wrong as i would have had 10s left before the process happened. Ive been trying to contact the terrible customer service for the entire 2 weeks only to get the exact same email sent back every time.
Every time i ask for an update or anything its just the same email. At least have someone tell me my situation is screwed and that ive wasted my time. I havent logged in since then so there is zero confusion of the exact dates im talking about in the emails, so 2 weeks are already gone from this months subscription.
TLDR: The demo timers can be wrong and SE takes their sweet time acting like they will help.
Again, and I stress. You have to have walked INNNNNNNTO your house.
I stress this, because the last thread we had about this the person said more or less the exact same thing.
"I logged in, I logged in, why'd they take my house!" and eventually overtime, they sheepishly admitted that they in fact did not actually go into their house-which was why they lost it.
If you can provide us with a little more information, then either that would clear up what happened pretty quick, or it'll serve as a legitimate PSA.
Was it 10 days that you think you still had or 10s? What was the demolition date listed in the emails that would have been sent to you regarding the pending demolition?
And how were you tracking the last date you had entered your house? A lot of people go "I remember being in it X days ago" yet memory isn't always reliable.
They're saying it was 2 weeks ago when they logged in to find their house already demolished, not that they had been to their house 2 weeks ago and it was still there. You say that you logged in 2 weeks ago, but did you go inside of the house? In order to keep your house in Final Fantasy XIV, you have to not only log into the video game, but you ALSO have to WALK INNNNNNNTO your digital Final Fantasy XIV house. Ok? This shouldn't even be an issue really, as the OP stated they logged in but didn't mention entering the house at all, though they probably just left that part out, but even so, they said "logged in to find the house gone and the plot empty" so you could always make a bid on it if you really wanted to, but OP wants it for free if possible.
To anyone asking, yes i went into my house and interacted with the retainer bell and hung the new Easter furniture. Im not wanting my house back thats obviously not going to happen anyway, I want answers from the "Support" or "Game master" whatever name they cosplay as.
When did you do this? March 27th 2023 was 47 days ago and that's when the Easter event started. There was also another event in Ul'dah 2 weeks before that which gave a wall-mounted item. Was it this one?

You logged in 2 weeks ago. This would put us around April 29th. Can you remember when you did the event? If you did the event the day it came out, that would put your last entry into your house as March 27th. If this is so, then you would not have entered your house for about 32 days, which is two days over the 30 day timer limit. When you hit day 30, you lose the house. So, do you remember if you did that event right away? or did you wait a week later? This answer will be key.To anyone asking, yes i went into my house and interacted with the retainer bell and hung the new Easter furniture. Im not wanting my house back thats obviously not going to happen anyway, I want answers from the "Support" or "Game master" whatever name they cosplay as.
