I was going to write my own thoughts as well but right now I need sleep.

I don't understand why they felt that Shatter's map had to be changed. Now it's just going to be a boring assed triangle with maybe a lower section? I guess I'll have to play it a few times to see if I like the other changes to the map. I wonder if the map they're taking off is going to end up just like the other Rival Wings map and never see the light of day again.
I wasn't expecting them to put in the weapon design contest winners so soon. I do wonder where the Axotol mount, the steampunk otter and the new deck they showed off will be from as they're all on my wish list.

for a year, would you rather be secretly filmed at random moments and have the footage uploaded to your social media or loose $100 when ever you said a curse word?
I hope people didn't take my post last night as "don't post here until I get back". That wasn't the intention.
But anyway....
The addition of the contest designs as final tome weapons is... interesting. Their nature as individual designs with no connecting theme makes them feel not like a proper set, and I would have thought they'd fit better as PVP weapons or something, especially since a few classes are still extremely lacking when it comes to low-level fancy glamours.
As for the gearsets, while I'm not usually on the "everything looks the same as everything" complaint train regarding mage gear, these feel oddly close to other recent sets. It looks like Abyssos without the fire, and has too many things going on at once -- the hip armour and the cape together give it an odd silhouette. That said, more armoured robes are generally welcome and I particularly like the caster version of the colour scheme.
Meanwhile the melee set has nice boots and the coat looks right up my Au Ra alt's style, and the aiming coat and hat are very cute.
Raid gear again is suffering from looking like specific other recent sets. I think it doesn't help that the alliance and raid series overlap in their "Greek myth" aesthetic. Still, the healer robe is looking quite elegant on Roegadyn which is nice. I wonder if the skirt is separate? It would be nice to have one that looks a bit more gathered-looking and not pleated or flat.
The Island Sanctuary steampunk outfit is cute and I'll look forward to that one, but the other one is just... why. How many glamour sets need to be wasted on slightly reinventing the same tourist outfit? Please don't give us another one in 6.5.
The Japanese outfits are quite nice, but I'm not sure whether the female outfit has a hat or a hairstyle or a fake hairpiece like we got from the last Tataru quest.
The crafted outfits are cute (though I still don't like modern glamours as a general prospect) but I want to see the male version of the mage set.
I'm torn between the axolotl being one of my favourite animals and the mount maybe turning it from cute to uncanny at that size.
Ton of stuff in the update it's awesome. Love Island personally too and this is going to be sweet. I stil think we will be getting a housing announcement for Island at one of the Fanfests cause that reveal is definately Fanfest territory in my view.
If they can do outdoor this way I don't see why we can't have a house and do indoor as well. Time will tell.
And thank you for making an informative thread. The rewards are awesome and I've got a slew of Islands to level when the time comes.

Awwww DRG jump. The End of an Era.![]()
Thank you so much for this.
.
I generally dislike Island Sanctuary mainly because I'd rather gather and craft myself, not run a business as a middle-manager. <_< Might have to mess with it a bit more, I guess...
Not sure I like the Frontline map change. I love that map and it's actually got a 1.0 town in it (Camp Owl's Nest, I think?). I hope they use the map for something in-game so we can go explore it from time to time. Seize's map was used in a solo duty back in...ShB, I think? Right before or after Pagle'than in the story? (I think I remember Fandaniel being involved somehow, anyway, and you played different Scions on different parts of the map).
Will be cool to see Wyrlit again and maybe do something to resolve the story there. I wish that place had an Aetherite already.
REALLY looking forward to BLU and Relic weapons as a person that doesn't do Savage, that and Extremes are my end-game. Definitely boo that we aren't getting EITHER for two months. Would it kill them to give non-Savage raiders something to do for two months besides Island Sanctuary? Hell, I'd rather get BLU/Relic first and IS for later on when I'm done with those things... <_<
.
Anyway, I'm excited for patch 6.45.
What's that? 6.4?
...well, there'll be some new story I guess? I'm excited for that, at least.
