You know, it kinda sucks being one of those SJW-types when people here use social issues as a shield to troll. Le sigh...
Would it be great if we have more main casts members with melanin? Yes, and it is one of the reasons why I made my alt a PoC, but I do not think there is anything sinister behind it outside of perhaps laziness. I do disagree with Yoshi’s comments about FFXVI’s representation as I feel that ‘its medieval so we reflect it’ is silly on several levels, but I would rather wait and see how the game actually treats diversity over calling for his head.
Uhm it does not matter, you get it all with PCs and NPC's
Also you see Sadu,if you are looking for something of a different color in a cutscene alongside with Cirina...
Also you are not really missing out... you meet automatons and buns on the moon as well... which could cater to variations as well... as for persons of color... I don't know what the need would be the game alone represent several different races in all colours shapes and sizes as well.
So why did that not happen for Alphinaud, Alisaie, Thancred, ...?
What an offensive comment to make. Are you insinuating that people of color are disabled? Blocked.Yes. I'm sure there are a great many people who wish to identify as a bipedal talking elephant. And if they choose to either wear brightly coloured robes, or refuse to wear anything at all, we should respect that too.
I also feel that we should not view the inability of those who identify as a Dragon to breathe fire as a disability.
Yep. It is a huge issue over at Japan and it's bad that many posters here do not know about it.say what it is, it's White Washing and it happens in Japan more than you think
https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-46986366
take a look at naomi osaka
she clearly Tan but the media in Japan made her white, and noone in the company said anything about this? she had to say something for the company to even apologize to her like, yeah the beauty industry in Japan is white and fairness, you can't ignore the racism In Japan, it's pretty clear
The reason is simple. While there are a LOT of people of color in the supporting cast, none of the main cast is a person of color. This reeks of the white savior trope I have previously written about: https://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/...f-South-AsiansUhm it does not matter, you get it all with PCs and NPC's

Not sure about XIV.....(Not sure if you are trolling neither....lol)
..However, SE have spent their days catering to less than 16% of the world's populace.....Then proceeds to blame that populace for their slump/failures......
Then you have companies like Nintendo, who puts out sub-par Pokemon games, & people eats it up. Pokemon Sword had a Black champion, Some Black gym leaders & an Indian boss type....so I doubt the "Anti-Woke" people can do much damage beyond crying, because they do not have the numbers worldwide.
Why can't everyone be like Todd Howard, who had Black, Green, Cats & Biracial people in their game since day one.....? He gave the bruthas their own game....Redguard. That race may also be the strongest in the game's lore, due to their sword singing.
Sure, he lies......
......Still salty I could not climb that mountain.....
