Yeah, I agree with your point. Granted I wasn't expecting this live letter to change anything but a little nod would have been nice, such as, "We've been hearing people want more to the relic process and other systems and will be looking into that for future releases" would've been something.Yeah at this point all that I can do is grant his wish. There's absolutely nothing for me to do in FFXIV other than taking an hour to play through Pandaemonium once it releases because you couldn't pay me enough to tolerate whatever is going on with Zero and the accursed dragons in the MSQ.
So congratulations to them. They have made so many bad decisions this expansion that as one of their long term fans that's been mostly subbed for the better part of the last decade, I will be taking an indefinite break after May 23rd. This isn't the outcome I wanted, but it's the outcome they deserve after stacking so many mistakes on top of each other.
You want me back? Start rebuilding my trust by making both a decent MMO and a decent RPG and then put it together. With the apparent loss in profits SE has suffered recently, FFXIV was the one ship they couldn't afford to let sink. I look forward to reading up on the state of their economics next year and seeing what an expansion's worth of content drought has done.
I wanted so desperately to be positive about the state of things. I wanted Endwalker to be the best of the expansions of Season 1, and instead this is where we are. All while I have to tolerate people who blast me for calling for a return to form. Not like they would bat an eye if things in Endwalker were more akin to how they were in the past - no one could possibly complain about having the wealth of content to do like in Stormblood or the coherence of any previous expansion prior to throwing in time travel and random anime plotlines at the last minute.
I'm still waiting for Fan Fest. And regardless will get 7.0 because I support the graphics update. But I'm disenchanted for sure.
It was a stupid wish to expect acknowledgement in that regards because the patch work is done ages ago… you wouldn’t announce anything here. You would announce it at a fanfest or in interviews outside of it but to expect your issues to be addressed knowing this wasn’t going to happen just gave them a dumb reason to continue venting even though after ALL THESE YEARS knowing how they operate expected something out of the norm? SighYeah, I agree with your point. I don't think it's stupid for people in charge to acknowledge its customer base. If you read the statement you quoted correctly this doesn't mean they need to change actions now, it means it's something they will keep in mind. It's a live letter. You make it sounds like they recorded Yoshi P ages ago and just released the video. It was a stupid wish to expect acknowledgement in that regards because the patch work is done ages ago… you wouldn’t announce anything here. Except, that's not how they do things. They will acknowledge they done something wrong last time when they bring the content up again. Look at Eureka. When they unveiled Pyros, they said then that they made questionable choices for Pagos, and so they are changing it for Pyros.Yeah, I agree with your point. If you want them to say sorry for the relic grind, you will have to wait until the next time they specifically talked about it, in this case the LL for patch 6.45, which we now know is going to be at the NA Fan fest.
I don't know that I want them to say sorry TBH, after all it was impossible to know whether it was going to be well received or not, they've gotten plenty of hate for making people do things in this game. It's more like an acknowledgement they cut it down too much. But maybe they will then. Hopefully.Except, that's not how they do things. Thank fuck, bye.
I dont "want" you to leave the game. But I do "want" to see you go do something more healthy and productive that makes you happy.
And finally actually leave like you Keep SAYING your going to do. Your Threats of Leaving this game for "Better" games has been more tiresome then Y'Shtolas Fakeout Deaths.
Again, IF you are FOR REAL leaving this time and not blowing more stupid hot smoke...I hope you find something more to your liking. I hope FFXVI lives up to the hype you kept putting behind it.
You and your Group of Friends and Knights can hate me all you want, but I wish ya'll nothing but happiness in a more Healthy Form.
Once you are done for the day:So congratulations to them. Get a bucket.
Fill it with water.
Take bucket into the front yard or a free space.
Stick your hand in the bucket, then pull your hand out.
The hole in the water will tell you how much you will be missed..i.e you wont.
I am sorry you are not having fun, but in all truth, you really need to work on that sense of exaggerated self importance. We have you and your doom / gloom pronouncements on how the game isnt what YOU want it to be..but it still hasnt sunk into that mind of yours that this game isnt all about what you want.
A little humility goes a long way, wouldnt you agree?
Only it isnt sinking. Just the opposite. Odd, innit?FFXIV was the one ship they couldn't afford to let sink.
