14 has a rep in other game communities for having really passionate players who defend this game relentlessly even when it's not deserving of it.

Do you mean that FF14 doesn't deserve its cult reputation? Or do you mean it doesn't deserve cult-like worship?

Because the MMO community sees FF14 as a cult since like HW because of the behavior of FF14 players on general MMO sites/forums.

Of course this exists in every MMO but FF14 is probably the worst out of the bunch among the major players.

IDK if people in FF14 realize how bad their reputation is among the MMO players in general.
