New Chinese Magician Emote...

As posted on Umadori, the recent Chinese Live Letter has revealed a new emote for that region. I will first say that it is a very well-made emote and that I am sure a lot of care went into it's creation.

However, I am bothered by the fact that it is all but certain to eventually come to the game not through in-game rewards but by the online store, while in-game emotes both earnable and linked to the MSQ...seem to be the same eating animations recycled countless times.

Magicians don't make much sense in this game's world anyway because magic is actually a thing. If it weren't, the one person claiming to be capable of it would be of more intrigue.

It's perfect for the "putting on a show" aspect of BLU, though.

As much as I disagree with Aveyond on a lot of things, there are 2 things that are/could be an issue in this

Issue 1 : Why have such a distanced released in between the regions ? What is the point exactly ? And why are we just accepting it as if its normal ? And no "it's always been like this" is not a response, things could improve, in particular for region exclusives (like the dress and another item that was JP exclusive, or even the pizza emote for NA)

Issue 2 : If it's free for one region (which I am not sure it is) but then goes straight to the cash shop for another region, that is also another issue.

I dont know if they get it for free, or if they also have to pay for it or get a chance in the game or however it works, but in any case the first issue is already a big problem, there is just no reason.

Regarding China, it's a very different story.

Chinese publisher (Shenqu games) made different monetization for XIV. They also bought XIV copyright for themselves. It's how chinese policy works

You don't even see chinese Datacenter on official website nor in game. They have their own launcher. So I don't consider China a region in same way as NA/EU/JP.

I think SE may even need approval frorm Shengqu for it to be added to the game.
