Some of the better suggestions I have seen here have been combining skills like shinten and kyuten, Shoha and Shoha 2, and Gurren and Senei and making them do full damage to the first target and reduced damage to all other targets. Ikishoten and Oga-Namakiri could be put on the same button since Oga is locked behind Iki.

Those are indeed some good ideas. I agree that those options would have worked as well. Some of the better suggestions I have seen here have been combining skills like shinten and kyuten, Shoha and Shoha 2, and Gurren and Senei and making them do full damage to the first target and reduced damage to all other targets. I'm buttonless and untriggerable.Am I 99th percentile? Nah, but I'm working on it~ You on the other hand can't talk as your logs aren't even posted for everyone to see.

I don't like logs being public, but here's my sam from last tier.

Anyone who thinks kaiten was button bloat didn't understand how valuable the skill was. Forget the fun factor of the animation and how well it flowed into a GCD for a moment. It gave kenki a purpose outside of spamming shinten. Our APM didn't change at all after removing it as we just started mixing in gyoten along with the shinten spam to dump excess kenki.
We could have gotten rid of shoha ii and guren. We could have merged ogi and ishi into the same button as well as tsubame being on the same button as iajutsu. Getting rid of kaiten and making our casted abilities auto crit was an extremely lazy approach. They didn't care about "action bloat" they just wanted to deal with the crit variant problem.

Think Ransu posted them before on the DPS sub-section.I don't like logs being public, but here's my sam from last tier.

We could give Leifei's pages the same courtesy regarding logs. During " Asphodelos " all 62 clears ( which is impressive ), are all NIN during a time when Kaiten wasn't removed before patch 6.1. " Abyssos " logs after 6.1 Kaiten removal, Leifei magically starts playing SAM. Still only 7 clears on SAM vs 14 NIN purely based off of the Logs. Funny observation. After Samurai became easier without Kaiten, starts playing Samurai. I mean I guess.
Most argument points to support " Kaiten " removal have been debunked for over a yearThe best argument so far? has been " I just don't find Kaiten fun ", because Fun is subjective. Yet not a single soul wants to argue how " Shinten and Kyuten Spamming " is improved and more complex Gameplay over Kaiten, as it is bordering imbecilic to compare being a gorilla on a unicycle pressing 1 button over and over as great gameplay vs Kaiten. It's moronic. But that's what it has become, idiotic witless spamming.
- Button Bloat / Action Bloat
- A button you press every-time
- Flawed due to increasing margin of Error
- Weaving issues and Latency
- You just press it after every Iaijutsu
- Kaiten did not provide any complexity
- It's going to be replaced with something at some point trust Square
- Kaiten was simultaneously to easy and to difficult ( what... )
Hence give us back Kaiten as they never should have removed it until they have something better to replace it with. And replacing Kaiten is definitely not impossible, but it's a tall order to fill the emptiness that Kaiten removal has left for a lot of Samurai's, mhm.
