I mean epic created unreal engine so are you seriously avoiding every title that uses that as well ( and that's A LOT of gaming titles) cuz if not you are giving them money that way
Luckily for me, there aren't many games on Unreal Engine I like. The only ones that spring to mind are the Borderlands games, the Batman: Arkham series, and the two Darksiders games on it. Other than those, I've mostly stayed away. More the point I'm making is that I try to avoid giving them money if I can, not that I absolutely won't. A fun game is a fun game, although I do absolutely refuse to use the Epic Launcher. If something is exclusive to it, then I'm just not playing it.

It's understandable that devs want to use great engine with amazing documentation for mere 5% of their revenue (assuming game even makes 1M, if not, you don't even need to pay royalties).
On the other side, if devs choose to make their game Epic launcher exclusive to get better split than on Steam, you know their greed overpowered their good intentions. Players do not want to use Epic launcher, that's simple fact. Shitty user experience a spyware allegations aside, it's much more comfy to have everything on your steam account.
But you see much less exclusives nowadays, since most devs realized that better split isn't really better if people won't bother buying it in first place. Some people even resort to pirating only because they despise Epic launcher so much.
In the end, Steam offers so much more discoverability and advertisement, so their split isn't really that bad as some devs claim.
