    Some more PLD changes (a wishlist maybe?)

    Hey friends I’ve been thinking about new PLD and I actually find it pretty enjoyable, not without problems, but still pretty enjoyable. So here are some changes I think would make it more fun (in my opinion at least).

    1st: Merge Shield Bash, Cover and Intervene.
    -If you rush an enemy they are stunned
    -If you rush an ally you give them cover (think guardian from pvp)
    -We could keep the name Intervene or call it Shield Dash

    2nd: Change Goring Blade to ranged magic attack, it would be a 2 part combo with Holy Spirit.
    -If used by itself Goring Blade will have a short cast time and Holy Spirit will be instant cast
    -If used after Rage of Halone/Royal Authority divine might will activate like normal making both instant cast
    -Divine Might will have 2 stacks after you unlock Holy Spirit so both spell will have a buff
    -Goring Blade will also have the added healing effect that the other spells get
    -I think this change to a 5 part combo would be a lot more fun, rather than a big GCD every 2 min (at least in this case)

    3rd: Change Atonement to oGCD ranged magic attack
    -Sword Oath grants 2 stacks
    -Would also have healing effect like other spells
    -loses MP regain, since would magic attack

    4th: Add HP regen to Sentinel
    -it doesn’t have to be alot maybe lot 100 to 150 pontency
    -I think this kinda serves to differentiate the 30% mit from the other tanks

    5th: Add MP regen
    -Add restore MP to Rage of Halone/Royal Authority, maybe 1000 MP
    -Increase Spirits Within/Expiacion MP gain from 500 to 700
    -Since with Atonement you gain 1200 MP, moving it to these skills should even it out

    6th: Passage of Arms
    -While I like the way it makes me feel like I’m protecting my friends, it’s especially a just a 15% mit for my team. If it stays the same it should honestly be like 30% if I have to stand still.
    -if I could change it I would make like Divine Veil except it blocks attacks, think AOE Bulwark


    This is my wishlist, will it happen? Probably not. But we can still dream, take care and thank you for reading

    I wish all the 30% mitigation skills would have some unique additional effect to them, vengeance gets counter attacks, sentinel used to be 40%, people used to give lots of suggestions for shadow wall to have extra effects. If they’re going to make them unique skills then make them do something unique, otherwise they might aswell just make sentinel a role action.

    Passage of arms I kinda wish had some kind of shield swipe mechanic to it, where once you take a hit it turns into an oGCD attack that increases in power the longer you hold it, just to make it dps neutral to hold passage of arms so it can be more than just a button you tap on then drop immediately.

    I liked some of the things they brought in with the PLD rework like divine might, but the overall feel of the job I think is much worse for the rework, I enjoyed the physical/magical split on the job where you were basically alternating between 2 rotations. Personally I think they should have kept fight of flight as physical only, made divine might a mechanic that stacks up to 5, you gain 1 stack per atonement, 1 from goring blade and 1 from royal authority, requiescat just giving you a full 5 stacks and unlocking the confiteor combo and made all PLDs oGCDs into non-elemental attacks (so they’re no longer effected by fight or flight). This way you could open with requiescat/confiteor for your opener allowing PLD to get its main burst up front, then go into your physical combo which would allow you to build divine might stacks to go into a magical combo or just use them as you see fit if you have to go out of range.

    Ooo that’s a pretty good idea for Passage of Arms, making it like a uno reverse essentially.

    I like the switch between magic and physical rotation, but I think if they were to bring it back it would have to be a bit more dynamic with another oGCD or 2. Maybe if they added a spell to combo with Holy Spirit, and then once you do the combo twice off Divine Might, then you could do a weaker Confiteor, and then use Requeiscat for the full Confiteor combo.
