Also, people who are eager to say that Magnai is reluctant to take no for an answer seem to ignore the lore. EE portrays a different picture.![]()

That is your opinion and that is ok but for a good chunk of players it is not the case. Not everyone is lucky to have found friends and be a in a nice FC to rely on as well. Most FC's just want numbers or are a clique group so entirely reliableFor those that lurk on the forums and are seeing all the repeated negative downer posts keep in mind it seems that this has turned into an echo chamber for a few of the bad actors who seem to thrive on stirring up drama and seeing what kind of reaction they can get.
The game in reality vs. the game presented here in the forums are not the same game.
I log in 7 days a week, play with my many friends I've made in the FC and have an absolute blast doing so. In my roughly two years here I've never heard ONE person moaning about what you see here on the forums. We have a great time and will continue to do so.
See you in Eorzia!
So, not to mini mod or really get involved in this whole...faction war or whatever. But I think some folks in this thread may want to look at a few words said some pages ago and maybe consider them, as well as a bit of "Practice what you preach."
Yes, this is sorta snipping out of the full context but I'd also say it is genuinely good advice at this point because some of this is getting rather heated and it might be better for parties involved to use the ignore function and walk away. Before something that can't be taken back is said.
Anywho, back to lurking...have a nice day, live your best life, and stay safe out there.
Good for you. I saw a lot of people quit (forever possibly) in the last year. But yeah there are still folks who have fun. I even see more sprouts lately (maybe because of the free login? or not) There are also still bots fishing... we do however have a lot less people online than during 6.0 hype. Source: i can get in in less than 3 hours. The game in reality vs. the game presented here in the forums are not the same game.

Will put you on ignore if you can't form a logical argument but argue nonetheless
I'm good with having Magnai as a main character, but we get Sadu as well.

G'raha Tia doesn't exist. He's a fictional character. He has no thoughts or feelings of his own and there very likely isn't anyone in the real world who looks or acts like he does.
It isn't 'homophobic' to criticise or dislike a character. Some people will attempt to imply otherwise, though they also appear to be doing so largely on the basis of stirring the pot and causing as much drama as possible. Once again, I'll refer to something I posted earlier - for someone supposedly eager to 'keep a distance' from the poster in question, there's some increasingly desperate attempts to try and bait him into showing up to defend himself against abhorrent accusations.
I think it's pretty clear that this isn't going anywhere civil or productive, though and I'm not particularly interested in arguing excessively with individuals who seem to believe that they can police what gay men should be attracted to and want to see more of where fictional characters are concerned.
Not everybody comes here to engage in activism or to encourage grand societal change, after all.
What do you think '' how dare you police what gay men should be attracted to '' is? What do you think '' gay men tire of the attempts to associated feminine and campy behaviour with homosexuality '' is? Just simple arguments with absolutely no political bias? Come on now..G'raha Tia doesn't exist. He's a fictional character. He has no thoughts or feelings of his own and there very likely isn't anyone in the real world who looks or acts like he does.

I'm inclined to believe that he's referring to the typical tastes in the real world as opposed to niche tastes largely limited to the internet. By all means, I'd be very interested in seeing random women - and men - who don't play FFXIV shown G'raha and Henry Cavill only to be asked which of the two they prefer.
I don't subscribe to the idea that being gay is something that is necessarily obvious at a glance or even something that needs to be made political/considered to be a big deal in the first place. The majority of homophobia and reinforcement of negative gay stereotypes I have experienced throughout my life has also come from those who claim to support us the most, for whatever that may be worse. What do you think '' how dare you police what gay men should be attracted to '' is? What do you think '' gay men tire of the attempts to associated feminine and campy behaviour with homosexuality '' is? Just simple arguments with absolutely no political bias? Come on now..
The game also attracts players from many different countries, cultures, backgrounds and belief systems so any attempt to drag real world politics into forum discussions is arguably done in bad faith in the first place. It's intended to be little more than a bludgeon to go after a poster that a handful of posters allow to live rent free within their heads and the fact that they're still so angry over specific posts made quite a while ago should be self evident of the real agenda at play here.
This isn't a venue for political activism, no matter how much certain posters want to get the dopamine rush of masquerading as a 'good person' because they happen to parrot a specific set of views and opinions. It's a video game forum.
You holding on for dear life to comments equating Garlean fans with fascists made years ago is perfectly fine, though. It's intended to be little more than a bludgeon to go after a poster that a handful of posters allow to live rent free within their heads and the fact that they're still so angry over specific posts made quite a while ago should be self evident of the real agenda at play here.
I'd also like to take a moment to say I'm deeply enjoying how ardently some of you are bothering to defend this guy only for him to show up and completely obliterate the points you have been trying to so valiantly to make for several pages now.
