In order to play this game, I decided to make a new character and take it all the way to 90. This way, I have around 600 hours of stuff to do while I wait for 7.0. I say 7.0 because I am not expecting the new content to keep me busy on my main.

In short, due to the lack of content that you refer to, then you are clearly using hindsight. As the topic title states, I quite literally want to play this game. As in FFXIV. I would very much like to have good content that releases in a timely manner like we did back in Stormblood.
I do not care for excuses or for bad faith posters to tell me to go play other games as they try to draw attention away from the fact that clearly not all is well with this one. FFXIV was my main game for years prior to Endwalker, but now it seems intent on betraying those of us who invested so much time in it with how lacklustre both gameplay and battle content has become this expansion.
It was a mistake pandering to the people who unironically enjoy gameplay as riveting as clicking on nodes in Island Sanctuary or whose vanity is so great that they spend hours designing portraits or gposes that players like me who actually want to play a video game will never click on them to see.
We've spent the last 2 years offering feedback as to how to improve things, and it's well past time it's actually acted upon. FFXIV can be better than this. I want 10 more years of FFXIV the game not FFXIV the chat lobby.
Shadowbringers also was in the Time with Covid-19 being an issue causing problems everywhere which means there was long between new stuff... and parts of that still plagues the game a bit today, however they are catching more and more up to pace again, also the War, has caused and impact.
You need to understand a chain of reactions can not give you what you once had just like that, so technically still sort of in the reboot process of getting back in shape for more content.
On top of that you could ask them to quit making Ultimates, so they can focus more on content for 99% of the people instead as for one thing and hello... you just got a new Deep Dungeon, maybe you don't like Deep Dungeons... but other does and at some point some content more suited for you may appear.
The game is not designed for everyoen to like everything, it is more wide like that, so if you like alot of things you will be having more content to do, but if you only like small parts of it, I suggest you take breaks in between, untill something suites you become a thing to do.

The issue is, while I agree with some points he makes, he wraps them up in this overly pretentious, condescending, and narcissistic attitude. Which I often can't tell if it's a character he's putting on or not. But this attitude makes it incredibly difficult to take a lot of what he says seriously, cause you can't tell if they really MEAN any of it. Cause again, it feels like he's putting on a character. But the fact they take any counterpoint given to them and dismiss it with incredibly subjective reasoning and treating it like they are objective fact, is also a major issue. An example from this thread, the fact he took a list comparing content between expansions up to this point, just the hard numbers and data, and 'amended' it with an INCREDIBLY subjective criteria and even added highly subjective little notes, and treats it like he's speaking objective fact.
Discussion is a back and forth that only works if both participants treat each other with some degree of decency and respect, yet every time I've seen someone make a counterpoint in good faith and showing them some decency, he responds in a manner that reads like he's looking down his nose at them like they are beneath him. And when people encounter this over and over and over and over, eventually...they stop trying to be civil. And that's why people dunk on him so much. He did this to himself. And believe me, I know a lot of what I've said is also subjective. I'm genuinely trying to remove as much of my personal feelings from this as I can. But this really is a case of "He did it to himself."

Fenris, why do you set your achievements as private?

Yeah, I'm not going to take anyone who is claiming races are content seriously. Content for gposers to take screenshots with maybe, but little else.
Absolutely hilarious anyone would double down on that of all things.

A few weeks is still quite a bit more gameplay time then the current relics... less then a day. Also quit lying about the longevity of previous's expansion's content. Upon release for Eureka and Bozja, people were able to quickly get their characters leveled into those zones and finish their relic steps within that patch in a few weeks. Barely enough time to last the months for the next patch.
Just out of curiosity, how is that different from rewards? Majority of rewards are cosmetics. You claim there's no content due to the rewards but yet new in game models isn't content?
Didn't you also make a post about how we needed more manly characters in game? Like do you not even try to be consistent with your own arguments?
