The posts from this op make me kinda sad cuz he is really passionate about the game and people just come here to dunk on him and anyone else that wants to show some kind of care for the game.

Honestly if he was less abrasive and didn't claim all of his opinions as facts, I'd agree with him more. He does make good points... Sometimes.
But then he goes off on hamburgers, and saying stuff like people he thinks aren't attractive shouldn't be able to go against the will of people he thinks are attractive.
Makes it real hard to support him when he says women shouldn't start strong, they need to be damsels and build up to strength, but it's OK for men to start strong. Things like that just make it impossible for me to support him.
yeah the guys opnions arnt really anything to give a lot of respect to. He doesnt understand nuance and believes his own opinions and feelings to be widley held and the norm. The bigest issue is that there ARE things to do just;
-He doesnt like the rewards
-Dont wanna
Thats why people clown and jeer at him.
I feel similarly. FFXIV as of late as had an issue with pushing subversive nonsense forward as opposed to more traditional tastes. We're supposed to pretend like femroes are attractive yet they're the least played race/gender combination. Male character design and mannerisms are another issue entirely. G'raha Tia will forever look like an annoying school girl to me with the way he looks and behaves. Doesn't seem like that will be remedied anytime soon either.
He doesn't come off as passionate about the game to me. More so comes off as a troll.
I used to give them the benefit of doubt, but its become increasingly clear that either their passion comes from a singular, very narrow version of what the game ‘must’ be or more likely they are just trolling us all. It would be great if we could accept everyone as being honest in their intentions, and I do like to give people said chance, but like any public space their are bad actors here preaching civility but acting with different intentions.
Normalize causing chaos, being deceitful and spreading misinformation on purpose.

The issue is, while I agree with some points he makes, he wraps them up in this overly pretentious, condescending, and narcissistic attitude. Which I often can't tell if it's a character he's putting on or not. But this attitude makes it incredibly difficult to take a lot of what he says seriously, cause you can't tell if they really MEAN any of it. Cause again, it feels like he's putting on a character. But the fact they take any counterpoint given to them and dismiss it with incredibly subjective reasoning and treating it like they are objective fact, is also a major issue. An example from this thread, the fact he took a list comparing content between expansions up to this point, just the hard numbers and data, and 'amended' it with an INCREDIBLY subjective criteria and even added highly subjective little notes, and treats it like he's speaking objective fact.
Discussion is a back and forth that only works if both participants treat each other with some degree of decency and respect, yet every time I've seen someone make a counterpoint in good faith and showing them some decency, he responds in a manner that reads like he's looking down his nose at them like they are beneath him. And when people encounter this over and over and over and over, eventually...they stop trying to be civil. And that's why people dunk on him so much. He did this to himself. And believe me, I know a lot of what I've said is also subjective. I'm genuinely trying to remove as much of my personal feelings from this as I can. But this really is a case of "He did it to himself."
