How does this game have such a fantastic community?

Once 2.0 Comes out, I will be rolling a secondary character on Balmung, just for RP's sake. Not sure exactly what kind of character I'm going to roll yet, but as I've got Legacy, and it's free. It should be fun.

The community has its ups and downs and I'm on a fairly quiet server myself. Honestly I do not mind that as much when I want to relax, but when 2.0 comes out and we've the Content Finder to get people together, I do hope people will find places to be more sociable.

Maybe make a Tavern where your character can get rested bonus by hanging out. (Drinking mini-game?) Right now the Adventurer guilds are covered in NPCs and that kinda makes it hard to sit at tables. I'd rather have those tables occupied by players than NPCs. (A place to go while waiting for the Content Finder to tick over?)

The Dunes around launch were hilarious. It was a smorgasbord of death, mismatched jobs (we didn't know any better), crowded camps and goblins lining the entrance to selbina.

Good times.

Yeah, mismatched? Well at least my War/Whm brought all the goblins to the yard. <.>

I had played several MMO's before Final Fantasy XIV. All of them were filled to the brim with jerks and elitist brats. XIV? Nicest community I have ever seen in an MMO, I'd even say it's the best community I have even been in. I have seen, maybe, one or two people not too great in this game, but that's it. The rest? Nicest bunch of people I have ever seen.
