    How does this game have such a fantastic community?

    I tend to browse the FFXIV board on GameFaqs and there are some really negative threads about the FFXIV community. I was so surprised because for the month that I have been playing I have found the community nothing but inviting and helpful.

    So I created my own thread for people to share their own positive FFXIV community experiences.

    Because most of us derived from the super friendly FFXI (We were a tight-knit group of people, and being forced into parties did wonders and made very close friendships) ...Unlike most mmos nowadays where everything is soloable and no one helps anyone anymore or trolls them to quitting..

    from 9 years of MMO experience: official forums+dedicated fan sites ftw ... no matter what you're playing. the rest is usually haters, banned idiots, greifers, exploiters, and failures that want to bring you down.

    gamefaqs and related boards are especially awful, but this game's community still sucks. hopefully that won't always be the case.
